CHAPTER

16 Follow the teachings, and the teacher will always be close - Follow the ideals, and perfection will only surround you - Follow the heart, and love will only lead you - Follow the whisper of the inner voice, and truth will only bless you! The strength to follow comes, when one finds the discipline to listen. Know, My child, that every guidance will fail, until you break the bondage of ignorant pride. The paint will adhere only when the surface is made smooth. In the same way, My dear, the truth will adhere, only when all the external influences are smoothed and only when one has conditioned himself to be receptive to the bliss of his inner, deeper,

world. Stay close to Me, and every worldly trouble will stay away - let the pain of pride weep alone, let the lure of temptation drag its own begging bowl, let fear enwrap its own self in gloom, leave anger to extinguish its own fire, and let doubt bury itself in the tomb of its own mistrusts and disbeliefs. Pay no attention to their existence - let them come - let them stand before you - let them stand, My child, and be convinced that your feet will never tire - let them be convinced that your intellect will not stoop to accept their weak reasoning - let them face the frustration of your rejection of them. The time will come, when the strength of your truth will defeat their wicked intentions and will break their stubborn aggressiveness. The time will surely come, when you inner foes will willingly leave, for they, too, will realize that your persistence, dedication and devotion will not let Me walk away from your

heart! Love God, My sweet, for when you have found this love, you will find the treasure of God's love for you! Do not ever think that you are weak. Any weakness can be overcome, any bad habit can be changed. Always remember, My dear, that it is you - it is the Me in you that is in control. Do not waiver, do not stumble, do not fear, for weakness can attack, only when one voluntarily deafens to the Master's voice that comes from within you. Be alert, for the guidance from the Divine Mother is continuous. There is none that is born without this gift. Channel the weakness by visualizing the divine strength, and let that inspiration, truly awaken within, the dedication of one-pointedness towards God, alone, making devotion come alive! Give up worldly pursuits for they will make you breathless - heartless and lifeless! Love His creation, enjoy its

beauty, but do not attempt to possess. Long only for the Creator and belong to Him, alone. There can be no fear for the one that has held His hand, for he will never lose His companionship in this birth - in this life - and even in the life beyond! Leave all attachments, My child, for they will never let you taste the bliss of true love. Attachment is the state of anxiety that possesses and fears losing. The only loss, in such a binding, is peace! The one, My child, that has lost his peace will feel no love for his life and will have no mercy for another's. Be in constant awareness that the Lord watches. Feel His vision upon you, then no wrong done by you, will ever slip by. The awakened conscience will always feel His presence - in His approval, its purity will rejoice - in His rejection, its humility will let you bend in penance, until He smiles, He forgives and He
