CHAPTER

8 For one to develop contact and communication with the Supreme, one must stay firm to the vows of spiritual change. Be consistent in your spiritual practices, and let not the fear of the future and the uncertainty of the present shake the strength that gives one the faith to keep his peace, always. Do not be ignorant to think that the radiance of God has dimmed since yesterday. Do not let the nature of your frustrations interfere with the absolute nature of the Creator. Instead, My child, use Him as your sturdy pillar - to lean upon, and awaken the courage within you to overcome your own barriers that you have erected between your own self and God.

Do not think that one will immediately escape all his wickedness and evil, once he has stepped into the house of God. That is simple ignorance, for the truth of the matter is that the one that chooses Me must see his own evil, must face his own weaknesses, must admit to his own failures and then, must place his faith at My feet, his heart in My hands, his mind in My name, his intellect in My brightness and only then, will he begin to walk, breaking the chains that bind his feet - erasing the imperfections that have blurred his vision - Yes! His inner vision that will, one day, let him see and experience the breath of God within him - the breath that grants the freedom to his life, forever. Every attempt you make to change is known to Me - for I am the strength in you that brings the courage of change. Do not look for the appreciation of it outside, My child. Listen to your own inner response that

expresses its gratitude and appreciation for every moment of your struggle. Concentrate upon your effort, at all times - know that there is no end to effort - hence, work hard, My dear, and rest, only to gather even more strength for the unfinished work. Simply know your role in this battle - do not worry nor fear its outcome. If the heart is pure, the result will be perfect. If the intent is innocent, the message will reach Me. Every road in the spiritual journey will have its pits. Be alert, at all times - be sure that the guidance is from the heart. The voice of the mind sometimes mimics its purity and manipulates you into the wrong act. Find the difference between that which is simply spontaneous and that, which is pretentious. Know that the nature of the truth is such that it will leave you with no doubt. Hence, with the practice of continuous spiritual disciplines, one will

recognize the artificiality of the mind and the spontaneity of the heart. Choose the self, and it will give you only one path, i.e., the right path. Remember, O child, that whatever the circumstances may be, the feet of courage cannot stop nor turn in another direction. Even a small moment of weakness - a small intentional error - a small slip to the wickedness of temptation will cost you the depletion of spiritual strength, leaving you to walk backwards to the new starting point. Know, My dear, that in the world of God, there is no half truth - there is no small lie. The principles of God will not bend for you. Represent Him fully, O sweet, - I employ only full time positions - there is no room nor any sense to work part time in My world. Rest is that sleep in which one is fully charged with one's own inner peace. Rest in its bliss, My child, and awaken to

its glory. Stop hurting the heart - listen, for its messages of love is very clear. Transformation of the heart is not the change of love - but it is your change to adapt to its sweet warmth. Reach out for love - encompass yourself in its purity, and walk only on its fragrant petals, letting the thorns of differences dissolve. The karmic prison can only hold the one that carries its debt. The one that pays nature with his inner riches will leave its clutches - Yes! He will hold time in the palm of his hand - he will threaten fate with his will power - and he will face the final death with the strength of the life that will give him the entry to eternity - the last birth!Source : LIVING IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD (Volume II/Part I)
