Aumji, Sad news indeed....... I remember Radhakutirji- he wrote infrequently, but he always wrote words of deep wisdom. He was one of few people who understood how important the balance of Bhakti & Gyan is, & he was both a great Bhakta & a great Gyani. I knew he was busy, as he was doing many things, including trying to run a gurukul in ancient style, where students would be given spiritual knowledge in addition to normal education. But I never suspected that his time was almost up. Anyway, he will be missed. with love, Shantnu
Guest guest
Dear AumJi, Pranam. sorry to Know Shri RadhakutirJi's demise. Let us pray for his soul to reside in Peace. Unlucky Babaji, you where not able to meet him. Even though i am not a old memeber of this group, I just went thro his earlier posts and found the following post of his, which i wanted to post again. -----Re: Meditation " Is self other than God ? Is God Other than pure potentiality and pure consciousness? Can we safely say self is god himself encircled in Maya? Can we assume Pure consciousness, when differentiates becomes God? And lastly, if self in us is already a part of liberalised pure Soul then who is it who needs liberation? who is suffering ? " For a student of Vedanta these are very standard questions and standard answers are available in plenty. In any case here are some Vedantic thoughts on the subject. It is the Jiva or the ego who is suffering and is covering the Self in the form of ignorance. This veil of ignorance needs to be removed to bring out the immaculate ever shining Self and that is liberation. Then what is Jiva? Jiva is a reflection of pure Aatma through the instrument of the intellect, which gives rise to the wrong notion that I am the body, also known as ego or more correctly the false ego. How can the pure Aatma give rise the wrong notion that " I am the body " ? It is because the reflection takes place through intellect, which is a part of the subtle body and here we the accumulated experiences stored of our past millions and billions of incarnations through 8.4 M species of life forms. Therefore there is a very strong inherent conviction within us that " I am the body " . By God's grace human incarnation is a rare opportunity where efforts can be undertaken to break down this ignorance that " I am the body " . Please don't lose this God given opportunity to shed this ignorance. We cannot be sure of our next birth, what form it might take? Gita says it is the last thought that determines our next formation, for example if we have an attachment to the pet in the house and the thought of that pet came in front of us just before death, it is easy enough to imagine, what might happen and there are instances of such happenings given in the Hindu Scriptures. God, Self, Aatma, Consciousness, Awareness, Brahman, Krishna are all synonymous -terms. It is the greatness of Hinduism that it gives us a choice. -Hari Om, Hare Krishna, -radhakutir Luv
Guest guest
Aum Vivek ________________________________ aumji <no_reply > Wed, February 3, 2010 1:06:22 PM A message for Old members of this Group! Â Dear Sadhakas, Shri Radhakutir ji, a very old member of this group and who shined this group with his valuable thoughts, merged into supreme godhead on 22nd Dec,09. If you read his old messages you will know his in-depth knowledge about hinduism and his aura. I had regular E-mail exchanges with him and he had sent his address to me, with his desire to meet me in his Ashram. I went to Haridwar many times, but could not find time. Last week I went to Dev Prayag for some last rituals of my dear father and on return, had a strong urge to meet that Great Soul. On reaching his ashram in Rishikesh, i met with his chief disciple who informed me that Swamiji left his body a few week before. Tears came to my eyes, as to how unlucky I am, to have missed meeting that Soul. Shri Radhakutir ji's name was Swami Radha Madhvananda. He was from a rich family of Ludhiana and got his education in UK. Around 50 years of age he left his job and took Sanyas in Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh and was given this name. with all his share of property, he started a trust in Rishikesh and was busy in social work, besides helping aspirants on spiritual path. Radha Ghaat in rishikesh was his work, also a yoga school on the Rishikesh-Gangotri road. We should feel lucky that we in our Group Sadhna had such a great soul....and let us pray God to let his soul reside in him peacefully Aum
Guest guest
Thanks Senthil, So thoughtful of you to dig out such old and deep msg from him. I feel that I had some last birth connection with him, because after seeing his photo, tears came to my eyes, and even now when i read his msg, tears appeared, or it was his spiritual Aura that is still affecting those attached with him. Dear Aum, This is the saddest news I heard this year. I had few e-mail exchanges with Swamiji. Perhaps you people are not aware, Swamiji had posted discussions between him and Aum ji on spiritual matters in many sites. I in fact came to know about your Sadhna Group one such sites. You can see one such thread on Desires and Sadhna, a thought provoking discussion between Swamiji and Aumji, both stalwarts in INDIAN DIVINE DOT ORG http://www.indiadivine.org/audarya/hindu-sadhanas/178335-desire-universe-creatio\ n.html let us all pray that his Soul continue showing us the correct path Jaya
Guest guest
Namaste all. To my surprise, I was just thinking of Sri Radhakutir ji while posting my last message. Now came to know about his disappearance. I've enjoyed reading many of his posts since I joined this group and even still quote from them in my messages occasionally. Great souls never depart from this world. They ever live among the true seekers in their teachings. dr. jaya Jaya Sri Radhe! > I remember Radhakutirji- he wrote infrequently, but he always wrote words of deep wisdom. > > He was one of few people who understood how important the balance of Bhakti & Gyan is, & he was both a great Bhakta & a great Gyani. >
