My dear Sai Bandhus!Dattatreya Sai Ashram, Kaimati, Dhenkanal, Orissa celebrated itsanniversary as Sai Devotees' conference from 20th February 2009 to22nd February 2009. I was asked by Shri Dwarika Mohan Mishraji,Chairman of Ashram to receive the devotees from South at Bhubaneswarfrom February 18th onwards arriving by various south trains. As I amworking in Railways, I readily agreed to do so.I stay at Khurda Road, which is 18 kilometres south of Bhubaneswar and1st of 35 devotees were expected to reach Bhubaneswar by 8646Hyderabad Howrah Express on 18th February 2009. The train was toreach at Khurda Road at 7 AM. I arrived at the station at 7 am sharpand seeing the train on the platform at Khurda Road from the road, Iparked my Hero Honda bike there, not locked and went to see what wasthat train. As the train happens to be East Coast Express and

wasready to start, I boarded the train, met with Sai Devotees and tookthem to Dhenkanal, totally out of mind about the bike I left on theroadAs these devotees wanted to visit Puri from Dhenkanal on theconcluding day of conference, we all boarded a train to Khurda Roadfrom where we have to catch train to Puri. The train from Dhenkanalreached Khurda Road at 8 PM on 22nd February and the train to Puri wasat 10 PM. In order to bring dinner I came out of the platform andwent straight to Bike Stand to fetch my bike. But it was not there. How could it be there, when I left it on road unlocked!! When owner ofbike stand asked me the receipt, it was struck to me that I left thebike on road unlocked and went away to Dhenkanal for 5 days since 18thFebruary.We searched every hook and corner of the surroundings for two hours, but in vain. I was blaming myself for leaving the

vehicle unlocked onthe road. My mobile was ringing and my younger daughter was on lineenquiring whether I lost by bike. I was taken aback as I haven'tinformed anyone. How could she know and thats what I asked her. Shetold me some body phoned to tell her that I was in search of vehicleand advised her to tell me to search for the vehicle under thebranches of Neem Tree. I told her that we searched over there andasked her what was the number that she got the call. That was handphone number and none were lifting now, but was insisting me to go toNeem tree to find out once more.Without having any belief, I went to Neem Tree, which was isolated oneand which I searched earlier. To my surprise, my bike was thereunlocked. We read in Satcharitra that Sai asked Chand Bhai Patil tosearch for his lost horse at the river bank. Here, after ninety yearsof His attaining

Maha Samadhi, Sainath Maharaj guarded my bike forfive days when I was on His duty at Dhenkanal. My colleagues, my friends and Sai Devotees around the train all weresearching the bike and witness to this incident where Sainath Maharajwas guarding the vehicle of His irresponsible child.Sai! My dear Sai Bandhus!

Dattatreya Sai Ashram, Kaimati, Dhenkanal, Orissa celebrated its

anniversary as Sai Devotees' conference from 20th February 2009 to

22nd February 2009. I was asked by Shri Dwarika Mohan Mishraji,

Chairman of Ashram to receive the devotees from South at Bhubaneswar

from February 18th onwards arriving by various south trains.  As I am

working in Railways, I readily agreed to do so.

I stay at Khurda Road, which is 18 kilometres south of Bhubaneswar and

1st of 35 devotees were expected to reach Bhubaneswar by 8646

Hyderabad Howrah Express on 18th February 2009.  The train was to

reach at Khurda Road at 7 AM.  I arrived at the station at 7 am sharp

and seeing the train on the platform at Khurda Road from the road, I

parked my Hero Honda bike there, not locked and went to see what was

that train.  As the train happens to be East Coast Express and was

ready to start, I boarded the train, met with Sai Devotees and took

them to Dhenkanal, totally out of mind about the bike I left on the

road

As these devotees wanted to visit Puri from Dhenkanal on the

concluding day of conference, we all boarded a train to Khurda Road

from where we have to catch train to Puri.  The train from Dhenkanal

reached Khurda Road at 8 PM on 22nd February and the train to Puri was

at 10 PM.  In order to bring dinner I came out of the platform and

went straight to Bike Stand to fetch my bike.  But it was not there.

How could it be there, when I left it on road unlocked!! When owner of

bike stand asked me the receipt, it was struck to me that I left the

bike on road unlocked and went away to Dhenkanal for 5 days since 18th

February.

We searched every hook and corner of the surroundings for two hours,

but in vain.  I was blaming myself for leaving the vehicle unlocked on

the road.  My mobile was ringing and my younger daughter was on line

enquiring whether I lost by bike.  I was taken aback as I haven't

informed anyone. How could she know and thats what I asked her. She

told me some body phoned to tell her that I was in search of vehicle

and advised her to tell me to search for the vehicle under the

branches of Neem Tree.  I told her that we searched over there and

asked her what was the number that she got the call.  That was hand

phone number and none were lifting now, but was insisting me to go to

Neem tree to find out once more.

Without having any belief, I went to Neem Tree, which was isolated one

and which I searched earlier.  To my surprise, my bike was there

unlocked.  We read in Satcharitra that Sai asked Chand Bhai Patil to

search for his lost horse at the river bank.  Here, after ninety years

of His attaining Maha Samadhi, Sainath Maharaj guarded my bike for

five days when I was on His duty at Dhenkanal.

My colleagues, my friends and Sai Devotees around the train all were

searching the bike and witness to this incident where Sainath Maharaj

was guarding the vehicle of His irresponsible child.

Sai! Just chanting your name will ward off our sins.  When we indulge

in your seva, Baba! YOU guard us, protect us. Satchitanand Sadguru

Sainath Maharaj ki Jai.
