Guest guest
Namaste How should Sadhaks deal with money? Many saints say money is evil, & some even refuse to touch it. But the sadhak may have a family, how can he support them if he thinks money is evil? On the other hand, too much money can also corrupt a man. So what attitude should a sadhak have towards money? Guest guest
Something that I am being taught about money is that it is a form of energy; it is what we receive for doing so much work, and therefor represents the energy used for that work used to earn it. In regards to energy, we cannot let it sit and stagnate other wise it becomes festered like unmoving water. So, in this world now a days what we do is work...work is part of the energy movement. You also just have to pay attention to all of your actions, i.e.: what am I doing, why am I doing this, do I really need to buy this thing or do I just want to feel like I own it. I will say that it is easier to carry a coin or piece of paper than to go everywhere with twenty goats...Just be aware of you actions and attentions, money is needed in this day and age, but in regards to our soul being is not an absolute necessaty. peace
Guest guest
Yes I agree with Caisur- money is a form of energy. Like all energies, whether it is good or bad depends on user- like atomic power or electricity. There is a false impressions, encouraged by priests of all religons that money is evil, & its use makes one evil(maybe because the priests themeselves dont have any!). If good people dont use the power of money, it will be all taken by the Asuras, who will use it for negative ends(which is what is happening). Rather, the Sadhak should control this power of money, & use it for the Divine plan. Always the attitude should be that one is a trustee for the God, & with this attitide money should be spent. This way, we wont be happy if we have too much money, nor sad if we lose all of it, as it was always Gods money. When the Divine Plan requires it, we maybe given wealth, but to implement the Divine Plan, not for our ego satisfaction. Let no one be attached to money, but neither should we go around preaching money is evil. It is a Shakti like any other, & Shakti is Mother, & she should be respected as such. love Shantnu

Guest guest
Friend, money is the most essential power of today and it has been so since settlement of man in cultured colonies. We can read about wealth of Bhagvan Krishna has got as dowry or presents as well as he has presented the wealth to Pandavas. Money has always good effect on human life irrespective his status as householder, devotee, sanyasi or businessman or king. It is the lust and intention of miscreation, evil use, that makes human a devil or robber. False intention to enjoy life with wealth, wine and woman ruins one as these are the worst things. See the comparison - King Janaka (father of mother Sita) and Ravana, king of Lanka. Both were very rich and had high power. But Janaka was reachable and Ravana was Terror. Money was the same thing but the inteention behind its use was different. Enjoy money devotionally.
Guest guest
I personally treat the whole money concept as a friendly game. That way I don't take it too serious but I also know that it is a game that whether you like it or not you must play.
