Namashkar,

Heres another question- In Ramayan, Ravan is protrayed as having 10

heads. This stands for the 10 egos(for the 10 Indriyas- 5 Gyan & 5

Karm). Ravan got 10 heads by cutting off his head to Lord Shiva.

But if he sacrificed his 10 heads of ego, why did he kidnap Sita then?

As with his ego destroyed by cutting off head(which is what the head

represents), he should have been ego-less, Brahm gyani. He was a wise

man, but he still had a huge ego.

Does that mean he had an 11th head, which the scriptures dont mention?

So why didnt cutting off his 10 heads of ego & sacrificing them to

Shiv destroy his ego?

Ravan was 10 times more intelligent than other ordinary mortals. Because of Lord

Shivas gift It was impossible even for Sriram to dismember Ravan`s head with the

physical power of an arrow. Vibhishan advised Sriram to hit Ravan on the

stomach (sumptuous wealth ) to defeat Ravan. Ravan cut his head for Lord Shiva

and Lord Shiva restored it soon. 10 heads are symbolic of wisdom and vice not

ego . In Devanaagari script raa ksha saa reversed becomes saa ksha raa

which means a learned person.

Lord VISHNU defeated Shiva devotees in all incarnations (avataars) by trick

(VAISHNAVA MAAYA)

Lord VISHNU never uses physica strength.
