Guest guest
Namaste all. A few memorable Sanskrit quotes from Hindu scriptures along with my translation: narasyAbharaNaM rUpaM rUpasyAbharaNam guNaH guNasyAbharaNaM jnAnaM jnAnasyAbharaNam kSamA Among ordinary human beings, a beautiful, perfect figure with handsome looks is considered special and worthy of attraction. Further, charming adornment for the attractive beauty is his/her good character and virtuous qualities. Further the best ornament of all good, honorable attributes of an individual is his/her true spiritual wisdom and knowledge. But still, know that sincere forgiveness is the topmost decoration of even such wonderful wisdom! kSamA zastraM kareyasya durjanaH kiM kariSyati atRNe patito vahniH svayamev opazAmyati If one possesses forgiveness as a true weapon in one's hand, what harm can the cruel worldly people inflict upon one? The fire itself is naturally extinguished when no fuel is supplied to it. kSamA balamazaktAnAM zaktAnAM bhUSaNaM kSamA kSamA vazIkRtir loke kSamayA kiM na sidhyati Not only forgiveness is the strength of the weak and powerless but also it is the virtuous ornament of the strong and powerful! Forgiveness itself can bring the whole world under control, What cannot be accomplished by forgiveness in true compassion? Jaya Sri Radhey! A few quotes from Holy Bible too: " Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. " Ephesians 4:31,32 " For if you forgive people their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive people, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions. Matthew 6: 5-18 Likewise also the high priests mocking with the scholars and elders said, " He saved others; he cannot save himself; he is king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross and we will believe in him. He has trusted in God; let him rescue him now if he wants him; for he said, 'I am God's son.' " And in the same way the robbers crucified with him also insulted him. Matthew 27:33-44 And Jesus said, " Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing. " And one of the criminals hanging reviled him, " Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us. " But the other answering reproaching him said, " Do you not fear God, for you are under the same verdict? And we justly, for we did things worthy of what we are receiving back; but this one did nothing out of place. " And he said, " Jesus, remember me when you come into your sovereignty. " And he said to him, " Amen, I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. " Luke 23:33-43 , pyari_h <no_reply wrote: > God said, " Abraham, I know he does not believe n Me, but I have > looked after him for the past 98 years, and you could not look after > him for one night?
