Guest guest
The Holy (?) Bible preaches hatred for other religions through its ten commandments! While narrating to Moses the first of the ten commandments, Jehovah says: You shall have no other gods before me. - Exodus 20.3 b) The commandments given by the Bible God (?) evoke hatred for idol worshippers! While narrating to Moses the second commandment, Jehovah says: You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. - Exodus 20.4 & 5 Read more about truths of bible and don't forget to see a Slide Show detailing about BIBLE- A PREACHER OF HATRED! presented by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti at: http://www.hindujagruti.org/activities/campaigns/religious/christiani ty/#

Actually, everyone needs some idol may it be in the form of book, viz. Koran, Guru Granth Saheb etc or some picture or statue of great saints or a form of God etc. to concentrate on. > Read more about truths of bible and don't forget to see a Slide Show > detailing about BIBLE- A PREACHER OF HATRED! presented by Hindu > Janjagruti Samiti at: > > http://www.hindujagruti.org/activities/campaigns/religious/christiani > ty/#1 >

One of the unfortunate things about the bible is that you never really know if you have a good translation, and way too many people take what is in it literally. If you look around you you will see the worship of many idols. The two most populart idols at the moment are television and money. This commandment was given to keep man becoming anymore seperate from God. This also applies to having any other gods above the One: money and television are two of the most popular gods of the current time. The ten commandments have become clearer to me after studying hinduism, along with other parts of the Bible and christianity. One of the most important things that I learnt is that the people who disrespect and put down other religions that they do not belong to is that they do not have a strong enough faith in their own religion. These people fear that some how they may be proven wrong and find out that, in essence, their whole world is wrong. That is something that would shatter most people. Before you start judging the Bible you should actually study it, otherwise you are just acting upon hatred and the hatred of others. I suggest finding a " strong's concordence " or finding a really good direct translation of the Torah, which is basicly the old testament, which is what you quoted. peace
