Guest guest
Gandhi's picture where he is dressed in a loincloth, with a copy of the Bhagwad Gita at his side - is a common sight throughout India. Gandhi did not accept Sri Krishna as God, but as a man with exceptional qualities. Gandhi believed that Mahabhaharat was a work of fiction and that it did not actually take place. He said, 'Pandav's and Kaurav's are in reality the conflict between good and bad tendencies within us. Pandav's are the good tendencies and Kauravs, the bad ones', In the Eleventh Chapter of Gita, it is said that Lord Krishna shows His formidable form to Arjuna. According to Gandhi this chapter was interpolated, meaning that it was not there in the original Gita and that someone appended it later. The same Gandhi, it is said, discovered 'Yoga of non-attachment' from the same Bhagwad Gita! It is said that he discovered Satyagraha from Gita as well! Burn the treatises on Gita, which do not acknowledge Lord Krishna to be the Supreme God.' - Gurudev, Dr. Kaate Swami ji (Ghangarjit, January 2006) Read more about Gandhism against Hinduism at : http://www.hindujagruti.org/activities/campaigns/national/gandhi/
Guest guest
May be currently your job is how to dicredit Hindu holy books and search the internet and other and come out without some more nonsense. The best answer for you is read the holy book " Bhagawat Gita As Is It Is " writteby H.H.Srila Prabhupada, who is the last incarnation f Sri Veda Vyasa. go to www.krishna.com Rather ending up in life as potential backstabber, and messeger of false information and lies by quoting what others said bad/negative, enrich your life by spreading Krishna's message and continue the path to Salvation/God, that is Saadhana. Guest guest
Srinivasji, you obviously didnt read the original message. The gentleman was giving Gandhis view about Gita, not his own. The things he says about Gandhi are true. You can tell a Hare Krishna from a mile- they always attack others, they talk like Christians, & other than their Guru everyone is a fool. It is very sad, as Hinduism is otherwise quiet tolerant.

Guest guest
> Talk like christians? I'm a christian. Well, Ive never met a Christian/Hare Krishna who didnt try to convert me, & warn me I would burn in hell if I didnt leave my sinful ways, & accept their Prophet/Guru. As for Christians, Popes have repeatedly said that Hindus are doomed. The last Pope(John Paul II) said that on Diwali Christians should pray for Hindus to save them from hellfire. This is the Pope Western Media says was the most tolerant! Christian missionaries often use war like language when talking of converting us " heathens " . The whole process of conversion shows how much hatred they have for us. And why just India? Mel Gibson makes movies how the " barbaric " tribes of America were civilised by white Christians, how they were just waiting to be saved. The movie is a superhit, & the media gushes how about how " accurate " it is. So forgive me if I dont have much sympathy for Christians. Most Hare Krishnas are just ex-Christians who have replaced Jesus with Krishna, otherwise they still use the same language.
Guest guest
You sound like you have quite a bit of anger. I believe you forgot to mention the insane muslims who either want to convert everyone and then blow up all the non-muslims so that they may enter heaven... I do not quite understand how the mass genecide of the different nations of native americans fit into this conversation, though. Unless your focus is on the ignorant actions of man instead of a negative criticism of every single person who belongs to some religion that is other than what you personally believe. By you calling a negation to these others you are calling that negation to yourself, and even though you are not preaching/thumping/trying to convert, you are still acting in the same mannerism of those which you despise. Although you seem to be very well read in many of the hindu scriptures, you do not seem to know anything about the teachings of Christ. To be a christian means more than to read some book and go to some building once a week to listen to someone talk for an hour or more. A christian is someone who believes in and follows to the best of their abilities the teachings of Christ. These are such simple teachings, but sometimes the simplest things can be the hardest to master. A christian believes in that One Unnamable Lord above all else; does their best to live with love and compassion for others, because we are all brothers and sisters; forgives those who anger them or wrong them; help those who need help when they are able to; they ask for guidence and forgiveness, because they know that as men they are not perfect without the grace of the lord. Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist. This caused the grace of the Lord to fall upon Jesus. (Jesus was given shaktipat by his teacher/guru of many lifetimes.) Because of his Devotion to God the grace inside Jesus grew and purified him. (Because of his bhakti, the shakti rose higher and higher, clearing out all chakras and nadis.) When the grace inside of him had filled Jesus completely, he was able to bring onto himself the sins of others so that they may also have grace decend upon them and come to re-member the Great Unnamable Lord. (Jesus was purified by Shakti and was able to take on the karmas of others, there by allowing Sri Shakti to be able rise easier and begin purifying those who had forgotten the Self.) No one in the body is perfect. The Lord created everything from Himself, and therefor nothing can be seperate from the Lord. This is all that I am going to say on this subject. We choose to be blind or to see; but no matter what, you cannot teach a pig to sing. Aum Namah Shivaya J'ai sri guru om _/\_ Shalom

Generalisation is always bad, but if majority is doing something wrong, all have to bear the grunt. I am sure there are very few good christians like you . I love Jesus and I have his statue kept in my meditation room besides shri Krishna. But here the comment is not against Jesus..it is for christians. On answers 90% of christians are really spreading hatered in the name christianity..some examples are (anwers to my questions on YA)... => Hindus are idiots and sinners => Hindus drink Cow pee => Hindus will all go to hell => Hindus are idol worshipper and they will be burnt in hell for eternity => What hindus are doing on YA? => Krishna was a sex maniac...had 16000 wives => Let us show light of Jesus to 10 million hindus in this year => Hindu philosophy is nothing but crap This is just a sample !!! The misinformation with the help of Media and Money, they are spreading against other religions, is unforgiveable. In India, they are on a spree of mass conversion by alluring the innocent tribals with money, education and medical help. Far east of India is almost in majority of christians and they are now asking for a separate country for christians I am sure Jesus must be beating his breast over his followers' fall love baba
