Guest guest
Hello Krishna, Welcome to our group. What you mention is called Shaktipat- the most overused & abused word in spiritual dictionary! What happens is that when, by your *own* efforts, your reach a certain level, & Gods wants to give his grace to you, he uses some higher soul as an intermediary. This person is like a catalyst. In chemistry, a catalyst helps a reaction, but isnt changed by itself. So a reaction that wouldnt have taken place on its own, takes place when a catalyst is added. The catalyst is unchanged at the end. The Guru does the same- he takes Gods energy, & gives it you. This energy doesnt help the Guru. So why cant you get Gods energy directly? Simple- because unless you are prepared, this energy may kill you. Many lazy people think they will do nothing, but sit on their backside, & a Guru will come to give them Shaktipat. In fact, any Guru who claims to give Shaktipat is a fraud- as the Guru never gives Shaktipat! The Shaktipat is given by God, who uses some advanced soul as a medium. As such, if you are an honest seeker who meditates often, even going in the presence of a higher soul will start Shaktipat. The guru or student has to do nothing. The student at least has to be sincere, but the if Guru is real, there will be no need for rituals, energy will flow automatcally. So yes, Shatipat does happen. But beware of Gurus who claim to do this conciously- as this can only happen with someone who has destroyed his ego, and such a person will never claim he has the power to awaken your Kundalni etc.

Guest guest
Om Guruvay Namah On transmitting the energy from one soul to another. This is every much possible and higher soul do it frequently for benefit of their loved ones. The only condition for this is that both the parties should have true love for each other. My Guruji has sent me spiritual as well as hehealing energy from a long distance many times and I have felt it very clearly. On meeting, I asked him and he admitted doing so. , " srcm_tdk " <srcm_tdk wrote: > > I AM NEW JOINEE TO OUR GROUP. Guest guest
There are some very advanced souls in this group, who can offer you guidance. Some of our members are real masters. Like all real masters, they dont go around boasting how great they are, but prefer to stay in the background. So dont look for a Guru, but meditate, & a Guru will find you. Love, Shantnu
Guest guest
What advanced souls? What souls? Who are they, these people you speak of? Who is it here that is seperated? Are we all not of the same energy, source of being? No one is greater than any other. If you are truly seeking a teacher then stay focused that one will arrive when you are ready. YOu must remember that everything we encounter is a teaching from the sat guru, and you must be open and willing to learn from everything. This all that you see is a reflection of That Which YOU truly Are. I prayed for two and a half years to recieve a teacher, and for one and a half years to move from the city I lived in. Although I did not see it at the time, both of my prayers had been answered. When I was asking for these things I did not expect that I would be where I am now or that I would ever had brought any other form of worship into my life, especially one that I had originally viewed as being pagan. I may not always be focused on God, but there has never been a time when I have been with out my faith, love and devotion.

Guest guest
, caisuir <no_reply wrote: > While it is true that all souls are equal... but those who have not yet realised it themselves...still need guru Here higher soul is a symbolic word.. souls are all equal.. higher souls may mean those who have advanced on the path of spirituality in comparison to those who have not yet ! Guru is important for spiritual upliftment and that guru can be an old scripture...written by a realised one, a living person or sometimes God himself talks directly to us and becomes our guru When a student is ready guru will appear everywhere!! Everyone is not so lucky to get direct guidance from God.. hence most of the people need a physical body to work as their guru....and not necessarily it is always one person. Take example of Paramhansa, so many gurus came to teach him various forms of meditations Guru reflects the light of God onto his disciple. As i wrote in my earlier posts. We should not wait for a guru to start meditation. We should go ahead with the sadhna...if required God will be sending us the guru and we should not forget that it is ultimately Krishna who is guru to the mankind.. now how he guides..is his wish ! with love baba

You have raised a very beautiful point about sadhna and let us not lose it in wake of names and fames of gurus. Guru is important in sadhna, but certainly not a pre-requisite !! Spiritual Energy can be transmitted by meditation.. it is a Truth and those who have been in contact with some progressed sadhakas, will vouch for it. Now how it works.. we should discuss that Those who have progressed sufficiently on path of sadhna... normally have their Chakras clear of negativity and activated. Love plays a big role in this energy transmission. If there is love between two persons and they sit together... normally energy starts flowing between them, even if they are not sadhakas. Now for sadhakas.... when a guru and disciple are fully attuned to each other... there is a natural flow of positive energy from guru to sadhkaa... and sometimes both of them may not even be aware of this flow !! Distance does not matter in this case.. the moment we start thinking about our guru... the energy starts flowing, and this inflow gives a boost to the sadhna of the disciple. perhaps we can have more discussion on this with love baba

Yet it is isnt exactly same, as only one is useful for drinking! Such airy talk sounds impressive, but what use is it to people who are suffering in the world? If you goto a hungry man, & ask why hes hungry, as all is Brahm, all is Sat-chit-ananda, do you think he will be happy? We have to see the level we are at, how far we have further to go. If we can go it alone, thats fine, otherwise there is no harm in taking help of those further on the path. At least they can help us reach the level they are at! love Shantnu
Guest guest
Om Nama Shivaya. The nature of egoism is such that you will not able to find out your own defects. It is only the guru who will find out your defects. He shows the right path. A guru is absolutely necessary for every aspirant in the spiritual path. The guru becomes a channel for putting the wandering, lost jivatma (individual soul) back into contact with its source, the universal soul. The guru is a channel for the jivatma to relink itself with Parmatma. Grace of God takes the form of the guru. The guru is God himself manifesting in personal form to guide the aspirant. Man can learn from man only, and hence, God teaches through a human body. The guru-disciple bond is the most important relationship in a human life. It is in actual fact not a relationship between two human beings, but is the divine reaching out to the divine. This association is therefore not limited by time and space, but is an expression of the infinite. Shivaya Nama Aum. Thiruchitrambalam. Senthil.
