Four to receive SUNY honorary degrees

A visionary who developed the world’s most popular mapping Web site, an

internationally beloved spiritual leader and humanitarian, a Pulitzer

Prize-winning composer and a pioneering leader in drug discovery have been

selected to receive honorary degrees from the State University of New York.

 

Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, founder of a charitable foundation and founder and

chancellor of Amrita University in India, will receive a SUNY honorary doctorate

in humane letters at a special ceremony to be held May 25.
