the Absolute and the Relative

This is what I learned from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi before I met Amma:

There are two aspects of Reality, like two sides of a coin, the Relative and the

Absolute.

Absolute = unmanifest, never-changing, unbounded by space-time, formless, ever

still, eternal existence itself

Relative = all of manifest creation, ever-changing, innumerable forms, bounded

by space-time, in continuous motion( vibratory at quantum level ), temporary

cyclic existence

The Absolute is the source of all relative creation. While all of manifest

creation arises in the Absolute, the Absolute remains as the Absolute; It has

to, because it is never changing; the Absolute is the substratum of all that

exists in innumerable manifest forms.

In Vedic terminology:

The Absolute is Brahman, the One without a second.

All of creation is Maya, roughly translated as Illusion. Illusion doesn't mean

it doesn't exist; just that it has temporary ever-changing existence.

The ever-changing manifest creation follows the natural laws personified by

deities:

1) Brahma the Creator 2) Vishnu the Preserver 3) Shiva the Destroyer

Interestingly enough, in field theory of physics there are three mathematical

operators:

1) creation operator, 2)maintenance operator, 3)destruction operator

Hope it's obvious for CHANGE to occur, there has to be destruction of the old,

creation of the new, preservation of form at least for a while; this cycle

repeats continuously.

Relative creation arises in the Absolute, as the finest manifestation, which

Vedas call the Divine Mother, or Vibratory Impulses of Pure Love.

Some interesting comparisons; in Biblical terms the correlation seems to be:

1) Father is the Absolute Existence itSelf

2) Son is the Pure Love manifesting at finest level as the reflection of the

Father

3) Holy Ghost is the vibratory creative energy which some call the Divine Mother

This would make it Father-Son-Mother and balance things out as opposed to

Father-Son-Holy Ghost( all masculine ).

However, it seems to me that, the Divine Mother is both the Pure LOVE and the

Creative ENERGY( Shakti ).

Please keep in mind the value of all these conceptions are only to point to the

actual Reality which must somehow be experienced and Self-Realized; and the more

one labels, compares and categorizes the more room for possible distortions,

although the intent is to simplify and clarify.

Summary:

In the language of duality, only the Absolute is Absolute and everything in

Relative Creation is Relative.

In the language of ONENESS, everything is seen as a unity.
