I haven't written poetry in years. After a traumatic experience I closed off my

heart to this kind of expression. In an attempt to open up again I am going to

write a poem about Amma. So here it goes:

Mother how can I express what you mean to me?

With a simple embrace you take away all my suffering.

Even if only for that moment.

You stand out like a beacon on a foggy sea,

Drawing me closer with each passing wave.

You give without pause,

Fed by the source of all things.

No words could begin to capture

What you are.

So Mother all I can say is,

Thank you.

dear Ryan

Your expression to Amma is tender and full of heart.

Thank you for the courage and vulnerability of sharing it with us.

And i really like; " You stand out like a beacon on a foggy sea,

Drawing we closer with each passing wave. " Lovely imagery.

Ryan here is a link where one can share their heart and prayers with

Amma.

In case you would like to send it to Amma or want to express more heart

openings to come.

Your intent of heart is received by Amma.

Amma has said numerous times when a child calls on her and holds her in

mind and heart

she can see images of that one's face.
