Tom,

I agree it would have been wonderful if what you suggested below happened.

But it didn't because of _____ ?

Now, what ???

Amma Bless,

amarnath

behalf, telling a " brother " to get his sh** together. I'm glad he tried to

help, but I wonder if he could've done more. Anyone in robes that knew about

the situation should've told Amma about it, and talked to both of you about it

and the possible consequences. When love strikes, we don't think clearly.

I'm sure Amma would've said something like " Settle it! " (ie, get married or let

it go, but with respect).

Hey Amarnath,

I think Stacee explained it better. Basically I can't comment on that because I

don't know the details, but as she said 'Big D' didn't get involved until after

the fact.

Personally I'm glad that more of the details have come out including the Br's

name so that it's genuine, not telephone-game gossip, like it seemed when first

posted. Honestly, there's not much more that can be done. Something like this

was bound to happen eventually.

Lessons? I would like for any and all devotees to learn not to go with your

feelings or inner intuition. When things appear inappropriate in the case of

love, they usually are. I would expect tossing Dharma to the wind by

California ashramites, but higher staff should've been more mindful. In

Dayamrita's case, Amma saw with her own eyes Dayamrita giving extra attention to

that girl, and probably made up the crush part of the story to teach him a

principle.
