Guest guest
In a previous post I mentioned that I had paid about $3,000 in shipping books to inmates for Circle of Love Inside. You should also know that several years earlier, when I was in a very tight spot financially, a friend loaned me $3,000. I was unemployed at the time adn had said that I didn't know how I would ever pay her back. She said that someone had loaned her that money and told her that, instead of repaying the loan, she should pass it on to someone else in need. She told me that, rather than paying her back, I should give it to someone else as she was doing. Well, the postage wasn't exactly the same thing. When I think back about it, I like that the money helped so many inmates by enabling them to read about Amma. Aikya
Guest guest
Thanks for clarifying the case. I knew there wasn't much expenses, but I object to the lack of disclosure. An " * " with a note on her websites and brochures that certain aspects are not funded or fully funded by the donations (COLI, Mother's Kitchen) would be appropriate disclosure. Sort of like " probationary status " of certain branches, with a plan to show how/when it gets approval for full status.
