Sparrow,

 

I don't know the answer but am guessing that saddha equates to

sraddha, the way Pali dhamma does to Sanskrt dharma. Maybe a

different root than saadhana, in Indian languages that short and long

aa are significant and different.

It is such a beautiful expression; " To place the heart upon. "

 

I checked an online Sanskrit to English dictionary but was not able to

find the a simple surface connection between the saddha and sadhana.
