Correction on COL Inside and Mother's Kitchens

Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah,

Aum Namah Shivaya,

Just an FYI for everyone on here since this is not correct:

Many of the Mother's Kitchens are supported along with local food kitchens

already. Some do operate on their own and are thriving.

Circle of Love does not need money. We only use postage stamps so we don't

really need Amma's organization to give us postage stamps since our seva is

letter writing. Also we get a lot of support with Circle of Love Inside from the

M.A. Center bookstore which does send books to our prisoners upon request.

It would be great if more people like yourself would want to become involved in

these projects rather than standing on the sidelines. We always need more letter

writers. Why not get involved and then you would not only know more about it,

but perhaps would change someone's life for the better?

Our Satsang does a lot of our own sevas and we do not need money from Amma's

organizations to support our work. There are plenty of other places that need

the money more than we do.

in Her love,

adriane

charities but hadn't been approved by the board to receive funds or ask for

funds yet.

for that bridge she built next time we get a tsunami around here. But

seriously, I'm guessing the devotee in question was that bramachari's " Vacation

in Goa " if any of you saw that movie (a fling before settling down, a

pre-marital affair Indian style)

online. The phrase I'm talking about is discussed at about 1:09:40, and again

at the end of the movie (move the player's slider to ff). Also available on

Netflix.

Hey listen honey, I'm not some ma-ma idiot. The founder of COL stepped down and

one of the things she mentioned was out-of-pocket expenses, and that the board

was still refusing to recognize it as an official seva, therefore not allowing

her to raise funds, whether it's for promotional materials, incidentals, etc.

Secondly, the Mother's Kitchens are totally locally funded and supported, so

stop lying. I've been in the org and know how it works.

If you care to 'update' us all then do that, but don't lie and say it's a

correction.

Hi there, folks. It's me, Aikya, responding to some comments about Circle of

Love Inside. I am still here. Last year, when I was finishing my Religious

Science practitioner studies and taking licensing exams, I " stepped doswn " but

nobody stepped up so I stayed. Two amazing helpers, Sweda Kurtz from St. Paul,

MN and Sherry Chuang from Pleasanton, CA worked hard to keep Circle of Love

Indie going.

It is true that letter writers do not have expenses other than stationery and

stamps. It is also true that Circle of Love Inside operated with all your

support now for 7 years. In some peculiar way, it hasn't exactly been approved

by the Board in order to have a line item in the financial records.

It is not entirely true that there are no expenses. For several years I was

paying out of my own pocket to mail all the books to inmates. It amounted to

about $3000 when I decided to give the job back to Amma's Books and Gifts and

trained a few people how to do it. All requests still go through me but I don't

pack up the books or pay the postage anymore.

Money is also needed to pay for ads in the Tour Guide and letter writers usually

donate those funds.

If there were funds, more could be done through the program. The kinds of

things I can do in my local church community because I can train the volunteers

could be done around the country.
