Guest guest
Dayamrita gave an online satsang, unfortunately I don't think I archived it, but he gave a very good example of what I call the " old " Amma, the Amma from the early days of the Awaken Children volumes. She never would've tolerated certain things back then. But there wasn't an empire to build and maintain as there is now, albeit humanitarian empire. Dayamrita was speaking at MAC right after the summer tour, I recall. He gave an example of him approaching a young woman at the WashDC programs who was crying. He joked about who it was, but I have a pretty good idea, considering what happened in this story: He went over and put his arm around her(?) and tried to comfort her, and after a while she seemed comforted. He felt good for her, and himself in doing service. Later, Amma asked what he did to that " poor girl " , as she put it. He told Amma that he was trying to comfort her. Amma said, " That's MY job! You see, that girl came to me and said she thinks you like her! " I think this was the occasion where he started getting ignored and then approached Amma as she was leaving the hall and grabbed her ankles in bowing, saying " I'm sorry " . Times have changed.
