Guest guest
Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah, Aum Namah Shivaya, I also thinking learning how to have an education and forge out a living is pretty important work, don't you? Hmm get an education and learn be able to take care of yourself...not a bad idea! After the tsunami hit, Amma's organization, the M.A. Math, constructed 4,500 tsunami relief houses throughout India and Sri Lanka, distributed 700 fishing boats, boat engines and fishing nets, supplied food, clothing and medical care to HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS, provided long term psychological counseling and wellness camps for children, set up relief camps, built an escape bridge, and economically strengthened entire villages through the organization of cottage industry cooperatives, education and job training. The day that the Tsunami hit, M.A. Math immediately set up stands along the beaches cooking rice. So not to waste anything, they would call to the ashram before cooking more. M.A. Math is known worldwide for being the first in and last out. The selflessness of Amma's bramcharis is incredible. They even make their own concrete and do not hire out so that not a penny is wasted. How many organizations do that? No others that I know of. I, too, was raised Catholic. Sarah Silverman had a great idea that I found amusing. Why don't we convince the pope to sell the Vatican? It's worth BILLIONS of dollars and the Catholic church being one of the richest organizations on earth could really help! If the pope would sell it then every hungry man, woman and child could be fed! Remember she's a comedian! all the best, in Her service, Adriane Ammachi , Stacee Kramer <stacee.kramer wrote: > > Please read beyond the first paragraph as this message is also in response to a new program that is established at Amrita School of Engineering for people to come to Amrita so that they can groom them into venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. Bramachari's are teaching this at the University and encouraging people to want to become wealthy. So the intro to this letter to Swami Ramakrishna and the info about Borg108 actually reflects hundreds if not thousands who are leaving the organization because of the inconsistency in Ammachi's teachings and the way her organization is being run, as well as her use of bad words towards Westerner's and others and what it is really like to be a renunciate and live in Amritapuri and what happens behind the scenes. Many are leaving as they are seeing the true side of Ammachi and her true intentions. Many are also questioning and asking about her chariities and how they are being run as well as visiting these charities
Guest guest
In Tamil Nadu, MAM distributed 185 tons of raw rice, 4.5 tons of dahl, 2.1 tons of powdered milk, 1.5 tons of flour, 1.5 tons of sugar and 1.1 tons of cooking oil. More than 75,000 new pieces of clothing and 30,000 blankets were distributed in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Guest guest
BTW, has Circle of Love yet to receive funds from the ashram as an official seva? Last I heard it was being mentioned in emails and advertising of Amma's charities but hadn't been approved by the board to receive funds or ask for funds yet. And what about Mother's Kitchen that doesn't receive funds from donations, all done by local satsangs? Yet it's advertised as part of her charities. All the charity work you mention in your rant, everyone is aware of. I'll look for that bridge she built next time we get a tsunami around here. But seriously, I'm guessing the devotee in question was that bramachari's " Vacation in Goa " if any of you saw that movie (a fling before settling down, a pre-marital affair Indian style) The movie is called " Outsourced " and someone's uploaded the whole movie online. The phrase I'm talking about is discussed at about 1:09:40, and again at the end of the movie (move the player's slider to ff). Also available on Netflix. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4803045557036299674# Ammachi , " n2amma " <a1driane wrote: > > > > > Aum Amriteshwaryai Namah, > Aum Namah Shivaya, > I also thinking learning how to have an education and forge out a living is pretty important work, don't you?
