Letter sent to Swami Ramakrishna

Dear all,

This letter was written to Swami Ramakrishna in response to a thread about the

consultant and AIMS charity funding and an awesome link to the SRF Walrus that

has many interesting messages from Borg108, and many others. It is very

worthwhile to read the link about the whole AIMS incident (see below) as well as

how many of Ammachi's non profits are being run very poorly or only for profit.

And how the ashram is seen from the eyes of two other people who have spent time

at many other ashrams in India, which are run for free, and do not ask for any

money for people to stay in them. Borg108 also mentions that Guru's in India are

not supposed to ask for donations, especially during pujas, they are supposed to

wait and allow God to care for their needs. Borg108 was in India at this time

and partaking in the planetary puja which required one to pay and many of the

poor Indian's who truly needed the assistance of this puja could not afford to

be part of this puja.

Please members on this list send this information and questioning to anyone you

feel may be able to redirect the way things are being run at Amritapuri. If the

public is now taking notice to these confusions and errors then there is a lack

of care and integrity to the degree that we cannot turn our backs, we must

question. And please, as I have changed this letter a bit, can someone on this

Dear Swami Ramakrishna, (RE: New Business vs. Entrepreneur)

Many are truly troubled in the West and in India by what they are seeing at

Amritapuri. It is hard to see what others see when you live a confined life. We

desperately need to be attending to the hungry and the poor. If you have any

ability at all to share our concerns with Ammachi please do so. I wish I could

give more and I give as much as I can. I would be considered impoverished by

what I have and how I live in the US. But I do sponsor a poor child from the

Dominican Republic through Children International. Even if Amma chose to help

1000-2000 of these children it would make a huge difference in the world.

There are many that are truly heartbroken to see what has happened to Ammachi

and her organization many feel she is not using her life appropriately and in

truth. I know this would seem astonishing as so many thousands come.

This is in response to the new program Ammachi has implemented at Amrita

University School of Engineering to encourage and groom venture capitalists and

entrepreneurs. It would be good to see that Ammachi is encouraging new

businesses that will help the poor and hungry in India, rather then these other

words which focus on encouraging others to come to Amritapuri and work on ways

to create wealth and do not seem to take into account the need for Ammachi to be

focusing on the charity she so often asks for during her touring.

Please help us redirect Ammachi and her fame and power to that of truly serving

poverty and hunger in the world. The devotees have truly gotten all they will

ever need to get from Ammachi as a Master. A true Master (Raja Yoga, Sufi) lets

go after a maximum of 10 years and then allows the disciple to go out in the

world and truly serve. As far as a Sannyasin I do not know what the alternative

would be.

Please help us here, we see things have gone out of control with Ammachi's

organization. We no not want to be disrespectful, but the world needs so much

more, as the hungry and impoverished, and so much less of what Ammachi is doing

traveling around the world selling things and making money. She should not be

encouraging people to leave their lives and families to travel with her. People

are scrambling around trying to earn money to keep up with touring. Let them

serve their communities and have the freedom to serve other charity's around the

world that are in need, as we are hearing that Ammachi's charity drive is

actually taking away opportunity's for many other charities.

Letter to a Bramachari who is now the Director of Connectone and a professor at

Amrita School of Engineering.

My brother is well aware of the two men you chose as Amrita friends- The Indus

Entrepreneurs - One started Exodus, the other Hot-mail. (Their extreme wealth

is very well known). It seems that Amma is leveraging a bit here. And the slick

approach is to use the term Entrepreneur. Which means wealth for the sake of

wealth. We also get the picture that Amma is trying to rebuild India with

Western funding.

Now even more so to draw Western funding to India. We hope that it is to further

help the poor in India find better opportunities to live and work. Lets hope

these young and budding venture capitalists and entrepreneurs want to help the

poor and down trodden as it will do no good at all if we create another

millionaire that builds a business and home for himself and his family.

It seems you have built this website connectone.in out of naivete and good

intentions. But from a Western perspective, Ammachi has done this with her whole

empire with charitable donations from the West. We did not give her $ to hold

onto and transfer into money making opportunities but to truly help the poor and

offer charity. There is much out there on the web were Americans have stayed in

India and gone to many of Ammachi's " charitable " institutions to see how they

are run. The only charity was the orphanage, and it was run very poorly, and

subsidized by the government. AIMS is something that is of big debate and

several have approached Ammachi about the false claims of 50% charitable

offering to the poor.

Did you know that all other ashrams in India run for free? And that if one

wishes to visit they are not asked for any money and can offer a love donation

before they leave if they wish.

Check out this discussion with Borg108 and several others on this list that

speak about these things openly including a Swami that left Ammachi's

organization becauuse of false claims. Borg108 was also approached by a woman

from India saying that Amma was asking " all children without fathers to get back

on the tour bus, but what she had really said, as Borg108 explains, that " all

you bastards get back on the bus. " It seems Ammachi has taught you all to remain

silent with the outside. Discussion from peers and heart to heart talk and

criticism is important. We need to question all that is happening to our lives

and in the world not just blindly follow and agree.

Remember, that you are leaning on Ammachi's name and power, not your own talent.

Which in the outside world does not usually happen we must depend on our own

merits and work hard to serve others. My wish is that Amma would have given much

more of her fortune over the years to other countries in poverty. I feel the

same way about the wealthy stars here in the US who have hundreds of millions of

dollars. We need to eradicate hunger around the world not build more schools and

Universities in a country (Ammachi's schools - something like 52 tuition based)

that has them for free by the Government.

Can you encourage any of the potential financial gain that Amrita will make

during these alliances be used for the hungry and poor?

(Personal note this has been shocking and sad information for me to learn about

after the past four months. After being a devotee myself and quite in love with

this saint and her beautiful community. I feel though that the truth will out.

If this is at all an interest to you, you can begin your research too and learn

of these things this information is all on the Internet, shared by devotees and

renunciates that have been hurt and mislead and are trying to come to terms with

their experiences. Please forgive me if I have saddened, hurt or offended

anyone. I am also trying to heal from many wounds during my time with Ammachi.

Stacee it might be beneficial to do a definition search on the word and

concept of Entrepreneur. The definition used here for Entrepreneur is

highly inadequate and derogatory; " And the slick approach is to use the

term Entrepreneur. Which means wealth for the sake of wealth. "

Some of the greatest social philanthropic work on this planet has been

done by those considered entrepreneurs. There can be all kinds of

entrepreneurs, social, political, financial, educational, and on and on.

.. .Maybe your concern is in part a misunderstanding of words.

Stacee we live in the www.world where anyone can say anything and have

it cycled and re-cyled to infinity and back. One of the common sense

rules of the Universe is; if one is leading the pack there are always

going to be others nipping at their heels.

The only thing i know for sure about Amma; she is the hands of God here

on Earth serving the world each day. She has touched my life in ways i

could never begin to express and there are thousands upon thousands of

accounts from others of how she has touched and transformed their lives

for the better.

May peace be with you Stacee and to each person, whether they bow at the

front of Amma's feet or whether they see her in a frame they think

merits nips to her heels. We all look through our own unique individual

periscopes at the ever changing beauty and complexity of the One we call

Amma as she reveals her sincere benevolence to a world that needs Her

goodness.

Please read beyond the first paragraph as this message is also in response to a

new program that is established at Amrita School of Engineering for people to

come to Amrita so that they can groom them into venture capitalists and

entrepreneurs. Bramachari's are teaching this at the University and encouraging

people to want to become wealthy. So the intro to this letter to Swami

Ramakrishna and the info about Borg108 actually reflects hundreds if not

thousands who are leaving the organization because of the inconsistency in

Ammachi's teachings and the way her organization is being run, as well as her

use of bad words towards Westerner's and others and what it is really like to be

a renunciate and live in Amritapuri and what happens behind the scenes. Many are

leaving as they are seeing the true side of Ammachi and her true intentions.

Many are also questioning and asking about her chariities and how they are being

run as well as visiting these charities

to see what they are truly about. It is worth reading further and then doing

your own research and to listen to personal testimony to the many who have had

to leave due to these unpleasant experiences.

Thank you for your patience, as we must all decide for ourselves what is truth

and what is untruth, but we must also listen to our brothers and sisters who

have experienced these things, as these first-hand experiences can be heard

again and again by many, who do not know one another and come from different

parts of the country and the world.
