Guest guest
Dear Rick ~ I liked your pilot for the " Awakenings " radio show, though I did have trouble hearing it, but you noted that. I'm glad you mentioned music because that was the one thing I felt should be added. If there is too much talking, people will become bored and turn somewhere else. Here are three awareness musicians I would recommend for starters: Krishna Das, Kirtana, Snatam Kaur. They are all wonderful and what they sing is uplifting. I listen to it all the time. I also thought the opening script was good, but wonder if it could be broken up to stop at some point and play music and then resume. I am the person who thinks a picture is worth a thousand words, and in the publishing world, the only thing I wrote that didn't include pictures were op ed articles and press releases. In the sound world, I guess you could think of the music as the " picture. " Anyway, it sounds great, and I hope you get lots of interest and listeners. It may be premature to announce it, as the pilot hasn't been approved yet, but I'm confident it will be, and I want to create some buzz. I've uploaded videos of the pilot to a new YouTube channel at _http://www.youtube.com/user/radioawakenings_ (http://www.youtube.com/user/radioawakenings) ... Thanks. There are copyright issues with playing music on a show like this. I have some copyright-free music that I'll be using for the opening and closing theme. I also thought the opening script was good, but wonder if it could be broken up to stop at some point and play music and then resume. That script was just for the first episode. Won't read anything that long in the future.
