Tirukkoyilur – Sri Gnanananda’s Thapovanam Ashram

Sri Gnanananda Giri was an Advaitic Vendanta jnani who knew Ramana and has an

ashram nearby, about 35 KM away in Tirukkoyilur. From what I can find out his

teaching was deep and pure. His ashram seems to me similar to Ramanasramam, with

a holy atmosphere, and devotees singing at the samadhi. He is a posting on swami

Gnanananda.

maybe in your travels you will run into

sri lakshmana swamy and mathru sri saradamma

 

i read their bios in " No Mind, I Am The Self "

by David Godman

 

lakshmana was a direct disciple of ramana;

not sure that he is still living;

there should be one youtube video of him

 

and saradamma was a direct disciple of lakshmana

and should be still living

 

interesting, that while both were introduced to Self-Inquiry,

they both preferred nama japa and devotion
