Guest guest
http://www.abc.net.au/rn/rhythmdivine/stories/2009/2524541.htm They are the Hindu gods of creation, preservation and destruction, the Trimurti or Great Three, lords of birth, life and death. Jai Uttal invokes Brahma, we hear Vedic verses chanted to Vishnu, and the master of the Indian bamboo flute, Hariprasad Chaurasia, plays the raga, Bhairav, one of the names of Shiva in his form as the Destroyer. As well, a final chant to Shiva sung by the American singer Lisbeth Scott who has been a vocalist on film soundtracks for The Passion of the Christ and The Chronicles of Narnia. ABC Radio National rocks! I hope they don't meet the same fate as CBC radio, where they're laying off everyone and his dog. Keval
