Back in the Kripalu Center heyday, when it was still a bona fide ashram, Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya was the mantra received by Yogi Amrit Desai from his guru and Kripalu namesake Swami Kripalvananda. For old-school Kripalu people, this video even includes a few Jai Bhagwan's. " Jai Bhagwan " was the common Kripalu greeting (like Om Namah Shivaya among Amma devotees) before the ashram-hall putsch in late 1994 that gave Yogi Desai the boot. I immediately downloaded it and put it on my Ipod, and then learned the song on guitar. I'll sing it for my next chanting session. I have a couple of ex-Yogi Desai devotees attending who would eat this up - they no longer follow Yogi Desai but they love and kept this mantra close to their hearts. The mantra itself in untainted and is so powerful! And Amma's pictures brought it all home! Many thanks again!
