Speaking to a large number of devotees gathered in Amritanandamayi Mutt at Jnanabharati second stage, she exhorted them to be more compassionate and humane in their approach towards fellow human beings. “World is being destroyed by communal forces if they have to be eliminated, each person has to be rid of caste, and feelings of superiority. Only such people can see God,†the Mata expressed. Thousands of devotees thronged the Mutt to get a glimpse of the Mata who performed various rituals and also held satsangs and bhajans in Kannada. Pension for widows Amritanandamayi Mutt plans to sponsor monthly pension to 50,000 widows, provides living quarters to senior citizens and tribal students. About 25,000 poor people from the states of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and West Bengal will also receive ‘Amrita Kuteeras’, according to Amma.
