to Amarnath about letter to the President

Dear Amarnath ~ what a wonderful letter. I believe that President Obama is a

highly spiritual person...not just religious, but spiritual. He may have a

specific church or faith, but more deeply, he is spiritual. I feel this already

shows up in the policies he is making change with and also in his reaching

out to nations that formerly were called the " axis of evil. " Can you believe a

sitting President would even say such a thing? When Bush said that, it was

like an arrow piercing my heart. What hope is here if the leader of our

country uses such judging, inflammatory rhetoric, I thought.

 

Now Obama has reached out to Iran, even using the correct name for their

country. Did you know there was another name that the Iranians used? (I think it

was Iran, but if it was another country, the same applies.) Also, Obama has

shown his fondness for east Indian peoplces by specifically reaching out to

them here, going to their events ... was it Holi when Obamba met with some east

Indian people? I don't remember the specific event or holy day (Holi day),

just that he did it. If anyone in our nation's leadership can respond to what

you have said in your letter, even if you don't get a response, it will be

Obama.
