Guest guest
Dear marci ~ thank you for sharing this. It just elevates Obama even more in my estimation. Since no one knew of it but the tribe; it wasn't a big pr moment, just Obama being himself, reaching out to meet others on their own terms. I'm so glad he is the President. Already he is hard at work to turn back some of the stains left by the previous administration, like Gitmo. From the moment I learned that Bush said America didn't need to abide by the Geneva Conventions for those captured in a war, I knew there was going to be a lot of bad stuff. I am so glad this is something Obama wants to bring back under a true system of justice, and with expediency. Who knows how many innocents have languished there. And even the ones involved should be accorded basic human dignity. Obama has taken care to reach out to our " enemies " in his Inaugural address. He was really reaching out a hand of equality and respect. It is wond erful. Hope all is well with you ~ Linda In a message dated 1/22/2009 5:40:18 A.M. This is the correspondence from her. . . .. . . " Here's something I learned in the sweat. The Montana Crow Agencyadopted Obama into their family when Barack was in Montana this pastsummer by Hartford and Mary Black Eagle, His native name, Awe Kooda Bilaxpak Kuuxshish, translates into " One Who Helps People Throughout The Land. " That's why it was great to see the Crow Agency folks atthe very beginning of the Inauguration Parade, right behind Barack'shigh school bands from Hawaii and Chicago. For me, who understood the significance of the placement, it was another indication of just how much Obama gets things. " . . . **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
