Samarpana recently discovered two amazingly beautiful teachers:

internet video and audio extracts are short and great pointers to

awakening to our true nature, totally consistent with Amma's

universal teachings about selfless service, love, devotion, heart,

advaita, etc.

 

 

 

The second teacher is a pleasant surprise for both of us because of

connection to a book we started to read at Amma's Ashram; we were

there six months and totally into Amma and nothing much else except do

our seva, stay healthy and alert; but last two weeks, Samarpana was

guided( no doubt by inner Amma ) to check out some books at the Ashram

Library, and then, an American living at the ashram as a renunciate(

perhaps the most humble of Amma devotees that I met ) recommended

" Daughter of Fire " as a book that Amma spoke favorably of.

 

 

 

Llewellyn Vaughan Lee ~ a most impressive awakened Sufi teacher,

disciple of Irina Tweedie( author of Chasm of Fire and Daughter of Fire:

A Diary of a Spiritual Training with a Sufi Master ) who was a disciple

of a Hindu Sufi Master Bhai Sahib of the Sufi order

Naqshbandiyya-Mujadiddiya.

 

 

 

Born in London in 1953, Llewellyn had an awakening at 16 and then

followed the Naqshbandi Sufi path since he was 19. He and his wife lived

for ten years in same house with Irina Tweedie, their spiritual teacher.

Irina named Llewellyn Vaughan Lee as her successor. In 1991 he moved to

Northern California.

 

In recent years, the focus of his message is that the world wants to

wake up and it's up to us to say Yes. He has lectured together with

Adyashanti, Sandra Ingerman, Fr. Thomas Keating.

 

 

 

There is a wealth of free video interviews & lectures on google,

youtube, etc; here is a list to start off with; there is a lot more, all

free; enjoy! Some of these are lengthy; be patient some of the best

stuff is toward the end. For me initially there was some impatience

because I wanted to see if advaita was included? It definitely is. Then

I relaxed and found the rest very fascinating and inspiring. Llewellyn

said that his nature was not new-agey at all, but more like

Milerapa's, meditating in cave until he turned " green. "

However, Llewellyn had a vision of an " Awakened World " and that

drew him out to talk about it with groups, etc.

 

 

 

We know that Amma, a few years ago, commented that the human race might

not survive; just wondering if Amma had commented any further during

Europe and America Tours last Oct, Nov?
