Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Srinivas, It is clear that you feel deep anger and a sense of betrayal towards some who have claimed to act in the name of Christianity. Did not Ramakrishna Paramahamsa himself say that different paths are needed for everyone? He and Amma and many other Indian saints and sages have recognized the divinity of Jesus Christ. Kabir, a Muslim, was accepted as a student by a Hindu master, and went on to call himself " at once the child of Allah and Ram " . Look at all he has contributed to the spirituality of India. I am not going to deny for a moment that people have said and done hateful things in the name of this religion or that religion - but by turning around and saying that this religion or that religion is bad or inferior, we are really doing no better than they did. Doing such things is only perpetuating the divisiveness you claim that Hinduism rises above. It should also be noted that Amma Herself simply says Her religion is love and service. Amma tours India in the winter and hugs hundreds of thousands of people in each place She visits, including those who are destitute and may have had to go without food for a couple of days to find the money to come and see Her. She has a great deal of concern for the poor and needy, as you can see from the vast array of humanitarian projects She has undertaken in India and Sri Lanka and abroad. None of us in this group is in a position to make arrangements for Her tours. We are only devotees; many of us are in North America and will not even see Amma again ourselves until She returns here in June or July. Why don't you go and see Amma yourself and ask Her in person to help the poor people in Andhra Pradesh? I think that would be the most effective way. You can get more information on this at inform ..
