Truly, Amarnath ~ thank you so much. You gave my face and my heart a reason

to smile.

Now, I have a somewhat unrelated question. Several people, maybe one was you

(I can't recall), sent links to songs by Snatam Kaur. I love her music, and

got copies of various cds for family members for Christmas. My sister was once

a Sikh, though now she follows both Ammachi and Shree Maa. I didn't learn

much about it, and never thought it was in any way related to Hinduism, but as

I listen to these beautiful songs, the same peace, the same joy, the same

poignancy arises. So do you know, or does anyone here, what is the relationship

or similarity/difference between Sikhism and Hinduism? A blessed holiday

season to everyone.

Jai Ma

dear Linda. . .i was one of the ones the ones that sent the links for Snatam

Kaur and you are right there are many seeming similarities of the Sikh with

both Islamic and Hindu religions. . .

Here is a link that speaks to some of the interconnections. . .

Linda,

Some information abt sikhs.IMHO the Ten Gurus are symbolic

representation of the Ten avatars of Sanathana Dharma aka Hinduism.Just

like how Moses gave ten commandments which symbolises the the ten

avatarams.IMHO all religion stem out of Sanathana Dharma only and the

borders of present day India extended well beyond

Nazareth,Mecca,Medina,Lahore,Lumbini...etc.That is why the verse in

Bhagavath Gita Lord Krishna clearly explains to Arjuna, that he

reincarnate again and again, whenever adharma takes place and irreligious

people are ruling. Therefore entir Bhu-Loka is a place that the lord can

incarnate,is my understanding from the essence of all religion.I owe a

lot to our beloved Amma to give this spectacular insight for me.
