Guest guest
Dear Pranada ~ I agree with you that this is a sticky wicket, as the saying goes. I think perhaps leave it to individuals to add this to their prayer lists if they feel so inclined. I feel a little bit uncomfortable about something being on the prayer list when there is not strong mutual agreement among the group. Just my 2 cents. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. the history of the prayer list started off, and somewhat remained for a number of years, praying for individual people or groups of people in a time of disaster. And I do think the Lokah prayer can about cover everything else, without being divisive. Pranada wrote: I personally feel quite uncomfortable with praying for specific agendas in specific governments, and I would not wish to ask others to pray for that which makes them uncomfortable. However, I will put this out to the group to decide, and defer to their decision. **************One site has it all. Your email accounts, your social networks, and the things you love. Guest guest
Dear Pranada ~ I don't recall anything you wrote as being divisive, but only speaking from the heart. Part of the " job " of the Prayer List Coordinator is to stand for the intention of and overall purpose of the prayer list. Please don't stop being the coordinator. I was the coordinator for several years, and I know the amount of work and devotion it takes. You put the question to the group. Let the group weigh in. But I don't see anything you've written as divisive; in my limited experience so far, you hold up the highest standards, for yourself and for what you do. I don't think we could ask for anything better or on more sound footing than this. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. Okay, I already threw in my 2 cents, and this is 2 more, and maybe there will be 2 more. I just don't know. Pranada wrote: ....I have felt that a recent post of mine was taken as divisive, dualistic, repressive, and silencing, and this has made me quite sad. I do not wish to make anyone feel silenced. I was silenced as a child, and the thought that I may have silenced others is quite upsetting for me. And division is entirely the opposite of what I was trying to accomplish. I apologize deeply to those who've felt silenced in any way by anything I've said. Again, I am offering this to the group to decide together. I was clearly in the minority with my attitude about what is being discussed on the list, and I am open to the possibility that I am in the minority here as well. It may be that I am simply not the prayer list coordinator this group is coming to need, and I will gladly pass on the privilege of this seva to someone else if my personal viewpoints are not shared and are causing people to feel stifled in their prayer requests. **************One site has it all.
