Guest guest
Dear dwain ~ please know that I am sharing only from my own understanding. I have an mantra that Amma gave to me. I also have a mantra from when I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation, which was long before I met Amma. Also, a few years back, Amma Herself was teaching what was called the Ma Om Mantra, a very wonderful mantra, and there was a tape with Big Swami telling about how to do it. Now there is something called the I AM Meditation, which you can also learn if you go to one of Amma's programs when She is here in the US, or you can learn from a " certified " teacher. However, it doesn't have to stop there. There is a Durga mantra I use quite often, and Om Namah Shivaya is another mantra, as is just the word " OM. " Besides that, there is a book available from the M.A. Center's Amma's Bookstore. I believe it is called very simply, " Puja. " If I have the name wrong, someone here please correct me for dwain's benefit. It has practices that you can add to your mantra meditation, like offering of different items like flowers and such. Also the instructions given at the bottom of each week's prayer list contain several suggestions for alternative mantras one might use. So you see, dwain, your heart's desire is already met. All you need do is look, reach out, and use the " tools " for devotion. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda In a message dated 11/19/2008 12:00:03 P.M.
