Guest guest
AMMA says for us to try to remain child like and always a begginer.i would be aware of requesting a " more " senior student " and if someone tells u they are,i would also watch out.this is this childs experience and that is all.not senior, nor anything like that just my experience. anything that my heart has offered to AMMA ,has always been accepted by HER in the most intimate way.whatever you do ,if it is done with devotion will be accepted by AMMA.SHE has said this many times. if a person offer's a rock to AMMA and their motive is pure in heart ,then that is better then someone chanting a thousands times and with a thousands malas where there is no devotion ,but only religiuos pride,self-rightousness and ego. it is not the action that counts here ,but the love behind it.the devotees that dont remember this develope a very dry spiritual life, but the ones that stay innocent and child like ,even after years of being with the GURU,keep hearts that are ever moistened by HER grace. you will find this said by AMMA,in many of the AWAKEN CHILDREN books.but i am not talking from book knowledge.this is my direct experience, but this does not make me an advanced student,it makes me a child who has recieved HER GRACE. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Dwain, Echoing Temba's suggestion that it is good to remain as a beginner (and I myself am also relatively new), I would suggest taking this question not to one of us on the group, but to one of Amma's swamis. Dayamrita Swami is the monk in charge at M A Center, Amma's ashram in California, and he is very helpful in answering questions about sadhana. I see that you are in Walnut Creek - I assume you will be able to see Amma next week in San Ramon? You could approach Dayamrita or any of the swamis, or even ask Amma Herself in question line or when you go for darshan.
