To temba about Kali Yuga and eye droppers

Dear Temba ~ I too am  weary of the leela of this world. My only solace is the

joy in knowing Amma, and that She is here for me, and also in knowing that you

and this group are my friends. I share your frustration about people not helping

more. But even one, such as yourself, and others in this group, make a huge

difference. My own pain sometimes blinds me to the pain of others, and then I

must ask Her forgiveness.

 

When I was still able to work, I believed with all my heart that I was being

used to reach out to others to create large networks of " helpers. " And I have

seen you doing this also. Now imagine that Linda is standing at the edge of

Niagra Falls, and imagine that the falls and all the water it pours into are

very polluted. Now imagine Linda standing there with an eye dropper, and every

hour or so, letting one drop of pure water into that vast pollutedness. But now

imagine hundreds and thousands of people all standing at the top of the falls,

each periodically, according to their own abilities, adding drops of pure

water.  Eventually the pure water will push the polluted water out and transform

the falls and all the water it flows into to pure clean sparkling water.

 

I don't know if this metaphor makes any sense to you, but consider, dear

brother, that you, and all the members of Amma's Digest Group, and all Her

devotees standing at the top of the falls with buckets of pure clean water. It

will still take time for the water to become transformed, but it will happen

more quickly. And you, Temba, have a very big bucket, and you inspire others to

put down their eye droppers and go get buckets. This Kali Yuga is very trying,

and yet it is part of the natural evolution/devolution of the great cycles of

time and the universe. In a way, though it may seem difficult to believe, we are

lucky to have been born into this Kali Yuga time, because this is the time when

our work for change, can perhaps have the most significance.

 

In some ways, I feel like I'm tripping over my own words, and don't know if what

I say is of any help or use. Just know Temba that your reach has extended far

and wide, in all the ways you have and are having worked to make a difference.

To me, you are a shinig beacon. Have no doubt that you are inspiring other to
