Guest guest
Dear Pranada ~ thank you so much for giving me all the details about the IAM meditation. I do remember hearing of it before, but had forgotten what it was ... I guess I knew it was available at tours, but since I was too far away and too ill to see Amma, I put it out of my mind. I didn't know there were designated teachers. Of course, at that time there may not have been any or any in my town. I will look on the website to see if there are any in my area. I really want to see Amma this time, especially as I am so close to Boston. But I have heard of the new token system and the ever larger crowds, and it worries me because of my illness. I know my husband would take me. If anybody knows anything about how Amma's visits go and can help alleviate my fears I would greatly appreciate the information. Jai Jai Ma ~ Linda P.S. you mentioned Canada. Is that where you are? Pranada wrote: Integrated Amrita Meditation was created by Amma and is taught for free by instructors whom She has authorized. It is available at all retreats during Her tour, and at various locations all over the world throughout the year. It's a half-hour practice that is quite powerful and effective despite its apparent simplicity. I can't recommend it highly enough. I have gone to some of Amma's Swamis to ask them about my sadhana and some of the experiences and obstacles I perceived, and they have recommended IAM as a very effective way to clear out the obstacles, increase awareness, and allow energy to flow freely. The course to learn the technique takes about eight hours, which can be done all in a single day or broken up into two-hour sessions. You can find more out at http://amma.org/events/iam.html - the schedule there may not be comprehensive, as I know (for example) that IAM classes are planned at the Canadian Amma Centre in Halton Hills, Ontario on November 9. If you contact an IAM instructor in your area, they can keep you up to date on local opportunities **************Play online games for FREE at Games.com!
