dear Linda. . .is the Chandi the same as the Sri Durga Saptasati or the Devi

Mahatmya?. . . .i found this one this morning and have spent some time with

it and find it wonderful to read. . . .thanks again for pointing sharing the

Chandi and truly is Amma beautiful. . . .

But this one chapter I just love ... it names all the forms of the Goddess,

American ways. If you've heard the expression, " all my relations, " it means

exactly that ... not only people, but the trees, the grass, the stars, the

animals ... all are " all my relations. " This makes it very personal for you

would treat an animal or a flower or a snail with the same consideration you

would give to a loved relative. In the Chandi, it goes through, in a

somewhat

similar way, that the Supreme Goddess is " the form of " ... everything ...

and it

is quite a list. I love it in part because the Sanskrit ending ...

namastasyai , namastasyai , namastasyai , namo namah, which means " we bow to

Her

continually, we bow, we bow " . She is the form of Intelligence, of Hunger, of

Sleep, of Energy, of Patient Forgiveness, just to name a few. This is one of

my

favorite chapters of the Chandi.

 

If anyone is interested in just having this one chapter given to the group,

I will still be happy to do it.
