Guest guest
Dear Labd ~ I knew of the Peace Pilgrim from my days at working for a peace organization. The story you told about the man's transformation is wonderful. I know from my own experience that when I'm judging someone instead of accepting him/her, it makes me feel terrible. So I work very hard at acceptance, yet it is so easy to judge someone " off the cuff " so to speak, and if I do that then I am the one who loses. Peace Pilgrim lived what Amma teaches. Love comes in many forms, and we meet it, we are changed. Jai Ma ~ Linda Labd wrote (about Peace Pilgrim): ....I even know the happy ending to that story. About a year and a half later I heard from a woman in that town. She said as far as anyone knew the man kept his promise. He never touched liquor again. He now has a good job. He is getting along well with his family and has joined a church. When you approach others in judgment they will be on the defensive. When you are able to approach them in a kindly, loving manner without judgment they will tend to judge themselves and be transformed. **************New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination.
