Guest guest
Dear Max ~ one thing that I've noticed, more so when I was seeing Amma every year, is that the bhajans that are " popularized, " so to speak, for one tour, by the next tour (and by the time I've had a chance to get them and learn them) have given way to a whole new set of bhajans. Amma Amma Taye seems to be the only one that is kept. I have always wondered how the local groups who play with Amma's tour musicians have learned the songs ahead of time. Or maybe they get music sheets at the tour site. Anyway, I have found myself frequently hoping to hear an " oldie but goodie. " Regardless, they are all beautiful, and now it is clear I will have to get both volumes of the 2007 tour. : ) P.S. I have old cassette tapes from the " early days " ... will have to look to see if I have Vandikyunnen. I heard it first on a defunct video of bhajans at Amritpuri from '89 or so, with Amma singing during Navaratri. WWWOWWW! the words are deeply inspiring too. Don't know why they don't sing it at the MA Center... **************New MapQuest Local shows what's happening at your destination. Dining, Movies, Events, News & more.
