Guest guest
Dear Max and All ~ my husband, David, told me about the Laughter Clubs. Although he had not seen the video, he heard about it on the radio. He brought this up after I had quite a few bouts of laughing, for no apparent reason. I was literally ROFLOL, in stitches, etc. I don't know when I have laughed so much. So I can attest to its value and also to the fact that laughter is indeed healing. Oh, and when I went to the Be The Change site (what a great site!), I got another chance to see the video of Christian the Lion. Though I have seen it numerous times, it touches my heart so deeply that I cry for joy. So thank you Max. By way of minimal backstory: after living in NM for about 7 years, I felt a need to get away, to return to the east coast. My husband of 9 years, David, had felt a similar need several years before and had moved to Boston. Everyone else, family, friends, etc., had deserted me, largely because the effect my illness had on me, making me unable to do much for very long, even talking on the phone. So, to answer Max's question, sadly, I still am ill, worse actually. But I do everything I can to stay positive, to connect to my Source, which is part of the reason I returned to the Amma group, and I do what I am able to do, which, right now, is mostly beading. An interesting part of the story ... 29 years ago, David and I separated, though life, the universe, who knows, maybe Amma, kept us crossing paths at the most unlikely times and situations. Each time we crossed paths, one or the other or both was/were partnered with someone. Now David and I had both lived separate lives from being a couple. I called him. I knew we still loved each other, and I believed that, though everyone else had deserted me, David would not. So he came and got me and all my stuff, and he moved us to a lovely loft apartment in Lowell, MA, an old mill town in the process of becoming an art community. Anyway, in some way, we are like the Lion and the two men. Even after being apart for so long, we ran to each other's arms. Okay, I have to stop or I will cry again. Thank you all for still being here. Jai Ma ~ Linda Max shared: Ten years ago, Dr. Madan Kataria burst out laughing for no apparent reason. Since then he's helped form over 3000 " laughter clubs " throughout India, toward the goal of creating a million such clubs around the world. " When you laugh, you change, " explains Kataria, whose fans include actors Goldie Hawn and John Cleese. " And when you change, the whole world changes around you. " Take a peek at this Pangea Day presentation by Neil Davenport--and see if you don't find yourself laughing, too.
