Guest guest
" A Spiritual Master " . . . A Master teaches us to accept everything, be thankful for good and bad, right and wrong, friend and enemy, helper and abuser, liberator and oppressor. . . A Master helps us to forget the dark past and the future bright with a thousand promises, and live in the fullness of the present moment. . . A Master shows us how all of Nature, every being, every thing---even our enemy---helps us evolve and attain perfection. . . .A Spiritual Master embodies all the divine qualities. In her,or him, one finds true surrender and acceptance. . .A Master is a living example. . . " (surely our lives are so blessed to have a Master such as Amma. I enjoy reading and gathering quotes, it is like finding rays of Amma all around. For me it is Amma expressing through the many forms, for we and they all sit on Amma's lap. Since knowing Amma have never had the words or the knowledge to begin to supply a frame for that i see and sense from Her presence. Just last week was reading Clarissa Pinkola Estes and she made this statement, and thought; yes, these words could be a loose frame for what cannot be expressed for one such as Amma; ' there are ones that are incomprehensible for they are so simple yet so complex-they are entire hagiographies- and yet to be written are words that can convey those who bear light.') " Condemn none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way. " Swami Vivekananda " It is our own mental attitude which makes the world what it is for us. Our thought make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light. First, believe in this world -- that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you are not understanding it in the right light. throw the burden on yourselves! " Swami Vivekananda " All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark. " Swami Vivekananda " We believe that every being is divine, is God. Every soul is a sun covered over with clouds of ignorance; the difference between soul and soul is owing to the difference in density of these layers of clouds.
