Impossible Request

Hi everybody. I got a request yesterday and the human me is rolling

my eyes and saying " Impossible! " So this must be Amma's department.

 

The request came from a young man in Sumner, Illinois -- in prison

in Sumner, IL. He really appreciates the letters he receives from

his Circle of Love Inside letter writer but she writes very

infrequently. Now I could get all huffy puffy about this, but I know

that I am really busy and I don't wrote to my correspondents as

often as they probably would like. He wrote to ask if someone else

could write to him -- and -- here's the hard part -- VISIT him.

 

Sumner is in southeast Illinois not too far from the Indiana

border. It's 3 hours from Indianapolis.

 

Once upon a time, I had a request from a woman on Death Row in

Pennsylvania for someone to visit her. Now that's really scarey. I

mean, you know the person could be executed. It's kind of risky on

an emotional level, you know, to reach out to someone, get involved

and then -- oh my! Well, to my surprise, someone was found to visit

her and they brought all their friends to visit too. It was a

beautiful blossoming of Amma love right there near the New York

State border.

 

If anyone would like to write to Jamar--that's his name, he'd really

appreciate it. If you happen to live in Indiana or Kentucky or

Illinois and you are not too far away, he'd really love it. In case

you happen to find out that this Jamar fellow is a pretty good guy

in spite of his address, or Amma touches you heart somehow or other

and you surprise yourself by deciding to visit him, well, it would

just be Amma making somebody's dream come true again. That's how

she is, you know.
