Guest guest
Let's sing that at Taize, Sweta! I love that song! I sing the 1st 2 verses regularly. Thanks for the update on last night's satsang! Om Namah Shivaya, Fe Ammachi [Ammachi ] On Behalf Of Sweta Mitzel Sunday, August 10, 2008 2:27 PM Ammachi Re: God lives in us ! Om Namah Shivaya, Went to the MA Ctr satsang last nite & felt Amma's wonderful energy. A bhamarcharini told the story that devotees said the swami told thru tears on Guru Purnima. About the devotee in Krishna's time who wanted to see Him, & so tried to do what He did, plus see Him in everyone & everything. Tho never meeting Krishna in physical form, she merged in Him by treating all as Krishna. Also, attended a Christian service this a.m. & felt Amma there, too. Couldn't sing this traditional Irish hymn thru the tears. The correct translation isn't a plea, but an affirmation that God is our Vision, Wisdom, True Word, etc... Be Thou My Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art. Thou my best thought, by day or by night. Be Thou my wisdom & Thou my true word, I ever with Thee, & Thy with me Lord; Thou my great Father, I Thy true son. Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise. Thou mine inheritance, now & always; Thou & Thou only first in my heart. High king of heaven, my victory won, May I reach heaven's joys, bright heaven's sun. Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my vision, O Ruler of all. An Amrita TV clip was shown last nite, where Amma spoke of how even Christians have a form of idol worship, seeing the bread & wine as Christ, & being reminded of Christ's great sacrifice by seeing the cross. Was encouraged that a Christian speaker today commented thru tears, on the undeniable spiritual energy emanating from Redwoods & Ponderosa Pines. Maybe cus they just give, seems much easier for me to see God in trees, than most of Creation. Sweta --- On Fri, 8/8/08, amarnath <anatol_zinc wrote: amarnath <anatol_zinc God lives in us ! This is another song that's stuck with me from the early days of church choir: I see the love of God in every river, flowing wide, flowing free, I see the love of God in every ocean, reaching further than eye can see. I see the love of God in every valley, offering shelter to you and me, I see the love of God in every mountain, standing fast through eternity. The love of God is all around me, what-e'er the trouble, pain or care; The love of God is all around me. If I will look, I'll find it there. I see the love of God in eyes of old folk, kindly wisdom shining clear, I see the love of God in little babies, sleeping softly without a fear. I see the love of God in every river, flowing wide, flowing free, I see the love of God in every ocean, reaching further than eye can see, Reaching further than eye can see. Guest guest
There is only the One-Self-Awareness which is our true nature Everything else is ??? There is no other, when our vision is faultless ! So, practice faultless awareness Never find fault with others Only with self According to Mahatmas, when we find fault with others we bind ( keep and increase ) our karmas Whereas, if we see others as faultless and accept our faults, we become free from our faults and our karmas ! And grow in Self ~ awareness Awareness is everything ! Try to stay aware ! Pure Awareness has no POV ! Om Santi!
