dear beloved sister and darling daughter of GODS love.please be so kind to

open your heart to what i am about to share with you.AMMA devotees that do this

are not AMMA devotees at all.it is the same as CHRISTIANs that claim jesus as

their lord and savior ,yet they don't follow his teachings.all walks of life

have this common thread .JESUS said that if we were not going to believe

him,then at least to look at his works.LOOK AT AMMAS WORKS!

if you read the bible ,you will discover that it is full of hypocrisy,we

cannot place that blame on GOD,JESUS,AMMA ETC.now here is the raw truth from my

own personal experience.

I AM A DRUG ADDICT,EX-CONVICT,OUTKAST,EX-HOMELESS PERSON,CRIMINAL ETC. who

AMMA herself has called GOOD.AMMA has treated me like i would have expected

CHRSIT to treat this outkast if i had been born in that day and time.i have done

two prison bids since being a AMMA devotee and never has AMMA once said anything

to me about it nor judged me.AMMA has personally told the org.to give me their

FULL SUPPORT and out of the four most successful service projects that have been

created in AMMAS org ,THIS DRUG ADDICT AND OUTKAST started three of them.AMMA

herself just personally wrote a letter to 500 men and women who are currently

locked up in prison!

AMMA will build homes for homeless people in n.america.that is AWSOME!what

INDIAN SAINT has done this?THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

AMMA HERSELF WAS AN OUTKAST AND LOOKED DOWN UPON BY HER OWN FAMILY!AMMA WAS

PERSECUTED FOR HER DARK SKIN AS A CHILD!AMMAs entire LIFE HAS BEEN CENTERED

AROUND SERVING AND LOVING THE LESS FORTUNATE AND THOSE THAT SUFFER THE MOST,YET

SHE LOVES ALL.

 

WHEN WE BRING HOMELESS PEOPLE TO MEET AMMA,YOU SHOULD SEE HOW AMMA

RESPONDS!EVERYTHING STOPS IN ORDER THAT THEY ARE SERVICED AND MADE TO FEEL LIKE

SOMEONE CARES.

 

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE THE ILL BEHAVIOR OF CERTAIN PEOPLE ON MY BELOVED

MOTHER.THIS HURTS my heart to hear this crap being pre-imposed on my beloved

Someone just forwarded me a message from this group and advised I takea look at

it. I would just like to say that my partner is a clinical therapist whoworks as

a drug and alcohol counselor for primarily teenagers, and Ihave spent many years

volunteering with at-risk youth at Crossroads, ahomeless shelter in my area.

Needless to say, many of these youthshave problems with drug dependency and it

is no laughing matter orsomething that I take lightly. People suffer from these

addictions asa result of much emotional turmoil in their lives, and they

destroythemselves and others in the process. To come here and find Ammachi

devotees calling me a drug addict wasnot only slanderous, insensitive and

untruthful...but it is does notsurprise me in the least. Thank you for reminding

me why I left andwhy I will never again engage with those who practice

spiritualhypocrisy and call it " divine " . Boy, did I ever make a good decision.

Do you understand now, why I wasinitially hesitant to reveal my true identity?

It's so sad to seeself-righteousness masquerading under the guise of

spirituality. Idon't say that sarcastically, I say it truthfully. It's a shame

thank you for that loving and inspired posting dear brother. What you

say is so simple and straightforward, and needs NO " techniques " or

meditations, or special initiations...just basic original spiritual

teachings, as taught by all the great ones....Love and Serve your

brothers and sisters, wherever there is need.

 

just as you say dear brother, there is NO need for constant sarcasm

and cutting down, insulting and hurting other people's feelings, all

in the name of " truth " .....Mother Herself has said that although we

should speak the truth always...if it would hurt someone it is better

not to say such a " truth " ....better to say nothing....or even a little

lie if it will avoid really hurting someone....

 

are we not here in this world to remember, as Temba says, that we are

incarnations of Divine Love itself? how will we remember this if we

treat each other so callously....as that old sixties song that was so

inspiring then used to say:

 

" come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together,

and try to love one another right now…. "

 

that is really Amma's message to us and if we cannot do something so

simple as that, what kind of devotees can we think we are?

 

i think it is simply wonderful, dear brother Amma's sun that Amma said

to you that She would build houses in America now for the homeless

ones...as you say, let us focus on these kinds of things rather than

focussing on whether or not " other " devotees are really up to the

" mark " or not...after all how do WE know WHO is up to the mark and who

isn't....other than by a feeling of love and peace in their presence.

 

i think that Amma is truly talking through Her beloved " drug addict "

" sun " , in these last couple of posts....if there were more inspiring

writing like that and fewer criticisms and insults, i suspect that the

Amma list would be a lot healthier...and more people would want to

join and post on such a list...

 

if we must insist on stoning one another, perhaps we should remember

what Christ had to say about this practice: " Let he who is without sin

cast the first stone..... "

Amen to that, Visvanathan (and Temba!). One of the things Amma said

on tour this year that stayed with me is a suggestion that we

constantly evaluate what we are doing for spiritual practice and to

be of service to others, and keep trying to do better every day.

 

I've just found a marvelous passage by Eknath Easwaran:

Instead of telling friends you are leading the spiritual life, which

sometimes makes people raise their eyebrows, you can say, " I am

learning to love. " It is the same thing. Learning to love in the

It does not mean loving only two or three members of your family;

that can often amount to building a kind of ego-annex. It does not

mean loving only those who share your views, read the same

you during Amma's Toronto visit. My roommate in San Ramon, Sindhu,

wanted me to pass on a big hug to you.

I was doing assistant prasad seva when you came up to Amma with a

beautiful mala made with crystal and blue and green stones of some

sort. Did you see, She kept it on for the rest of the night? Near

the end of darshan, I saw Her shifting the pallu of Her sari so that

the mala was tucked underneath.
