Prayer List blessings

Namah Shivaya,

 

I updated the prayer list through the week and took a printed copy to

Amma for blessing when I got darshan on Devi Bhava night. In the

past, Geetha has simply touched the list to Amma, but this time she

showed it to Amma and Amma looked very excited and exclaimed " Va! "

with a big smile and proceeded to take sandal paste and paint long

lines of it down the list on every page so that everyone got some.

She also dabbed some kumkum. Then She showered it with petals and

gave a little handful of candies. Amma displayed evident delight at

being able to give Her blessings in this way. The men's side exit

sevite caught me before I left the stage - there was one more prasad

candy after that!

 

I've given some of the candy and petals away already. I'm sorry I

wasn't able to take a picture of everything!

 

At the end of Devi Bhava, Amma stood on the stage for what seemed to

me to be an unusually long time, radiating Her shakti, before She

finally started shaking the petals out of Her hands. The night had

been very long - I was coordinating the men's side darshan line entry

and the crowds were not that huge by Toronto standards (rumor has it

we had 7000 people at Sunday's public programs - I'm pretty sure we

didn't have that on Devi Bhava), but Amma really seemed to be taking

Her time with darshan and the lines moved slowly. So the curtains

closed well after 11am. A great deal of blessing for all of us there,

and for Toronto.
