..........that might be your view of the effect, tom, but it wasn't my

intention....i was merely sharing what has been taught to us BY Amma

and what has been experienced in my own life....i am not in the least

interested in " Amma-devotee-elitism " ....as far as i'm concerned She

is, just as She Herself says, everyone's Mother...not just mine or

yours....everyone's....and i apologise if you got the feeling of Amma

devotee-elitism....i tend to think that you are mistaking the rope for

a snake however.....

........when i spoke of well deserved " hard knocks " , as i clarified

earlier (IF you had looked) i was NOT referring to YOU or ANYONE

ELSE.....but rather to my own self, and MY experiences...sorry i used

the " we " and " our " words....i should have used the " i " " me " and " mine "

words to be more clear....i have NEVER said NOR thought that those who

get to spend more time around Amma are more " surrendered " ...i have NO

idea WHERE you got this fallacy....i wonder if you are slightly

feverish and delusional today if you read that into my postings

earlier....it was NOT stated NOR intended.....

 

nor did i state or intend anyone to believe that if you get more

knocks you must be more surrendered....to think i said that is simply

unwarranted. you are putting the cart before the horse again....

 

Amma HERSELF, has said that when we come to Her, sometimes it appears

that our Karmic stream appears to be increasing in speed, and we

appear to have a rougher time of it...Also She explains it that She is

helping us to burn off some of our bad karmas while She is IN our

conscious lives....whether we are more surrendered to Her or not it

doesn't seem to matter....

 

what i DID say, is that the more surrendered ones would realise that

all these bad karmas are coming faster THROUGH Guru's Grace, and that

they would gladly accept these karmas, knowing that once burnt then

they are done with...and the soul's burden of karmas is so much

lighter....

 

i also stated much earlier, that it might be even better to think of

every transaction that we do in life as a karmic exercise or

transaction...are we gaining good or bad karmas by the ways in which

we are behaving...perhaps it might help if we realise this, that

karmas are really none other than the results of blessings and curses;

blessings and curses of the folks that we have helped or hurt...thus

we might simply adjust our behaviour to at least DO NO HARM....and

seek to cancel ALL karmic debts NOW as they come due...rather than to

put them off til another day.

 

..........actually tom, you did attack me personally by saying: " you're

ignorant because you want to keep your beliefs " .....and implying by

other statements like: " I could've avoided plenty of problems in life,

like many devotees do,

by " selling out " Dharma and letting Good Karma protect me from false

beliefs and bad actions. But selling out is worse in the long run,

and only Experience will teach that to certain people. " , that i am

" selling out the dharma " somehow or other....

 

on the other hand i do not think that i did personally attack you,

only responded to YOUR attacks and scathing comments about my posting

earlier....comments which naturally lead one to think that perhaps it

may be hard for you to have friends even among those who WISH you

WELL, because you can't seem to resist insulting them at every turn,

when they might have made the least little error in your view....how

can one be friends with such a critical and fussy fellow? a number of

daggers to the back later, and one's " friends " are not hanging around

quite so close anymore....a few daggers like that might make one a

little testy and careful.......so forgive me if i became a little

testy and careful tom....my back is still smarting from your daggers...
