yes tom, interesting times coming up with the changes...i've been

feeling some of those Saturnian and Martian afflictions to my lagna

(ascendant) too......(even though i myself am a triple Saturnian,

ascendant, birth moon sign, and atamakaraka....you don't get much more

saturnian than me....even i'm limping these days.....so even when

Saturn is your planetary " friend " , it still doesn't mean that he won't

afflict you with some of his good old malefic stuff......just to let

you know who's the boss i imagine......and with Rahu/Ketu

moving.....yeah....it will be interesting to see just what

happens.....Mars has been a real kicker too...nice bunch of pals these

planets are......

......pujas and yagnas are great, i've noticed a lot of help from

such......esp navagraha rituals.....

.......i generally prefer the Sri Jagannatha Hora free jyotish program

designed by an engineer in America for Sri Japannatha Jyotish Center

or Puri, the engineer being: P.V.R. Narasimha Rao....and the web

download the program, which is zipped, but works well......

..............most jyotishis would check the transits to both the

ascendant, and to the moon (ie birthstar)......for example sade sati

is calculated based on transits of Saturn across the three signs which

have Moon (natal moon) placed in the middle sign...so if one has MOON

in Cancer,then sade sati occurs from the time moon enters into Gemini

until it passes through Cancer and through finally, Leo...and only

when Saturn moves into Virgo does the sade sati end. the placement of

the Lagna (ascendant) determines just how " friendly " Saturn will be to

the native, and transits to ascendant are called " janma sani " and are

relative to the current incarnation (body esp.) of the native, whereas

transits to Moon are going to influence how the native experiences the

world around him/her...how they FEEL about things....eg. when Sani

(saturn) is transitting moon, one might tend to feel obstructed,

slowed down, constricted, or oppressed.....and that things are looking

blacker than they might otherwise.......

..........again, one with Cancer lagna will only be experiencing

CLASSIC sade sati, if one has Birth Moon somewhere in the

neighbourhood of saturn, eg, in Cancer or Leo...if birth Moon is in

Gemini, the sade sati is over....(the classic one, which is calculated

on the Saturn's transits over Birth Moon....

 

if birth moon is in any other placement, however, then one is not

experiencing sade sati, excepting when Moon is in Capricorn, or

Aquarius, in which case one is experiencing an Ardha Sade Sati...or

half Sade Sati....Also, when Saturn is throwing his drishti of 3 or

10, these houses and planets therein will be considered to be

transitted by that aspect and affected in such ways, and when Sani is

in the eighth house from lagna (ascendant) it is called ashtama sani.

 

so Tom....where is your birth Moon? is it in Cancer,Gemini, Leo, or Virgo?
