Namaskarams! here below is the smallish contribution from Sw. Actually Tom, when you refer to Balaji being a " red flag " and that Devi should be the subject of such a chain mail, really that only shows the common misconception that all of Amma's children are devotees of the Devi, or Saktas....this is definitely not true, there are Saivites, Vaishnavas, Smartas, Saktas, Sikhs, Muslims, Chrisians, and Jews, each of whom would have his/her own favourite deity. in Swamiji's case i would not be surprised to find him to be a Vaishnava....when he came to Amma it wasn't because She is the Devi....it was because he was attracted to Her in Krsna Bhava...and of course also her Motherliness...but really i believe that it was Sri Krsna who attracted Swamiji to Amma through Her Sri Krsna Bhava that She used to assume....Sri Krsna of course to the Vaishnavas is an incarnation of Lord Visnu...just as Balaji is a localised " incarnation " of Lord Visnu....it is not really odd at all that he should be promoting the love of Sri Tirupathi Balaji in my mind. in Amma's Divine Love and in Her Service, as ever, your own Self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!
