Pine Ridge Prayer Request

Hello,

Om Namah Shivaya,

 

I'm requesting prayers for the poorest U.S. reservation, Pine Ridge reservation

in South Dakota. It has the shortest life expectancy in the Western Hemisphere,

outside of Haiti. Families often have no heat during sub-zero temperatures,

death from hypothermia not uncommon, 87% unemployment rate, no public

transportation, people sleep on dirt floors, teen suicide almost 4x national

average, much malnutrition & alcoholism, 39% of homes have no electricity, 60%

no telephone, over 70% school drop-out rate, over 33% homes lack basic

water/sewage system, families regularly have no food, etc...

 

The situation isn't well publicized, but Amma was to have been recently informed

of it. Would also like prayers to support ways to help out, funding of

deliveries, etc ...
