Saturn has gone retrograde, relief from effects (non-Amma)

For those suffering under Saturn Dasha (major planetary period), it

has gone retrograde as of yesterday, and won't go back to normal until

about May 3 of '08. Saturn and Jupiter's effects are somewhat

opposites, so Saturn in reverse is like a Jupiter (governs wealth,

teachers, authority figures, progeny). So places in your life where

there's losses, delays and obstacles, and " state punishment " , you

should be feeling a change right now, for the better.

I'm just mentioning this because of my practical experience in the

Spring/Summer the last time Saturn returned to normal. Saturn is in

my second house, governing income from self-effort and " the face " or

how you're viewed. (I'm not a jyotishi, but try to read the Prashna

for a gist of influences).

During the retro earlier this year, I enjoyed getting a new job, and

even taking a management position in hopes of securing a permanent

place there (ie, authority figure as mentioned above). The night

Saturn returned forward, I was cussed-out by a subordinate, even in

front of customers (typical intimidation problem at that job with

previous people in the position I'd taken) and the upper management

just wanted to ignore it, making my job impossible to do, so I quit

(Saturn's losses, affected my job and being humiliated-- second house

factors).

This year I plan on having Saturn puja's done along with intensified

Saturn sadhana and plenty of extra rest to cushion the blow, but I

look forward to 5 months of money-earning opportunities, better

reputation, and whatever else that comes with it.

If anyone wants to know how I used free software to check the Prashna

(current planet status) and knowing my birthstar to see which house

Saturn was influencing, I can post it here. Depending on which

house Saturn is affecting, you'll feel relief for the next 5

months. If you're in the Saturn Dasha like I am, you'll feel relief

the strongest; the software can tell you what dasha you're in.

ONS,

Will this Saturn Dasha effect you during this whole

incarnation? Or for a few years?

Maybe it is good to allow yourself to just go through

the possible karma and possible character building

available through such experiences.

I don't know enough about this to speak with

knowledge, but in my own experience, having never had

my Aurvedic chart done, going through all of these

challenges has helped greatly on the spiritual path

and has allowed for the necessary tests and lessons to

strengthen character and faith, teach humility,

encourage bhatkti and so on.

Hey Tom, hang in there. My Saturn dasha ended several years ago, but

right then along came Sadi Sati with Saturn occluding the Moon. It

is true what they say about Saturn being great for sadhana, even

though that can seem like small comfort when you are undergoing the

hardships. And remember, Saturn gives results at the end, of a

planetary period or whatever the influence may be.

Saturn's period is the longest, as it's the slowest moving planet.

It won't end for me until about August 2022, but Amma has said that

the Saturn sadhana/pujas should continue past that because the

influence won't actually end, but carry over (ie fade away slowly).

Simply going through the karmas, for certain people, can " bury you " .

That's the nice thing about Jyotish (not Ayurveda) is that it's

" remedial " astrology. Bad Karma that is not " fixed " can be lessened

or enhanced if it's good karma, through the prescribed ways.

Saturn is bad enough that many commit suicide, or end up homeless, out

of work, etc. It can overwhelm the non-spiritual person, or even the

incompetent spiritual person. Faith alone or Belief alone won't

help, believe me. Contrary to New Age beliefs, Karma is an

objective element, not merely a pattern or issue of the mind or

feelings, etc. like NA's tend to classify things as.
