Guest guest
In a book by Gregg Braden--Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer--he tells about research on meditation. One study showed positive beneifts to a city from a small group of people meditating. Researchers worked out what percentage of people in a group need to be meditating to be effective. It turns out that if only 8000 people in the world today meditated, it would have a beneficial effect on the world. That's not very many (two US Devi Bhavas full?). If everybody who meditated would do it at the same time each day, then there would always be people meditating around the clock around the world generating the beneficial effect. Can't you see the T- shirts saying " Be One in the 8,000 " or " I'm one of the 8,000 " . Remember when Amma asked all of us to pray at 8 PM every night to alleviate the troubled times that were coming? We each got candles to light each night and we all did it for 2 weeks. Maybe we should start that up again. Now Amma's Books and Gifts sells big white candles in a glass with Amma's picture on the front, the same kind you see in the supermarket with Our Lady of Guadalupe or the Sacred Heart on them. We could actually do this. Life can be such a mindblower! Aikya
